Important: Read these instructions carefully so as to familiarise yourself with the appliance before
connecting it to its gas container. Keep these instructions for future reference. Give these instructions
to any third person using the appliance.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

THIS APPLIANCE IS DESIGNED FOR USE WITH LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GAS (PROPANE) ONLY. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO OPERATE IT WITH ANY OTHER KIND OF GAS.

  • This cooker may only be used outdoors.
  • Caution! Accessible parts may become very hot.
  • The appliance must be installed not closer than 0.5 meters from any obstruction or used with any overhead obstruction closer than 1.0 meter.
  • This appliance must be kept away from inflammable materials when in use.
  • The hose must not be twisted when connected.
  • Never leave the appliance unattended when in use. Keep children out of the area.
  • Do not move the appliance during use.
  • Protect gas cylinders from direct sunlight. Gas cylinders must be stored in a well ventilated area. Do not store cylinders in closed rooms.
  • The cylinder must be at least 60 cm away from the appliance sides or rear.
  • Gas containers may only be changed in a well ventilated location, preferably outside, away from any sources of ignition, such as naked flames, ignition flames, electrical devices and away from other people.
  • If gas escapes from the appliance (smell of gas), turn the gas supply off by closing the cylinder valve and take it outdoors immediately to a well ventilated location away from sources of ignition where the leak can be safely detected and repaired. Take the device outdoors before checking for leaks. Never check for leaks using a flame; always use a soapy solution or a leak detection spray!
  • Do not touch any part of this appliance which may be hot. Allow the appliance to cool down completely before storage.
  • Wear protective gloves when working with parts of the appliance which may be hot.
  • Store the appliance in a cool, safe place, well out of the reach of children when it is not in use.
  • Modifying the appliance can be dangerous and is therefore forbidden

INSTALLATION/ PREPARING FOR USE

CONNECTING THE APPLIANCE TO THE FRAME

  • Fix the legs to the frame using the bolts, washers and nuts supplied.
  • Attach the cooker to the frame as shown (8).

CONNECTING TO A GAS CYLINDER{C)

Proceed as follows to connect the device to a gas cylinder:

  • Make sure that the gas cylinder valve as well as the cooker valves are closed.
  • Check the condition of the gas hose (6) and the pressure regulator (7) before every use. Do not use a hose or a pressure regulator that show any signs of deterioration.
  • Connect the pressure regulator to the gas cylinder.
  • Connect the gas hose to the pressure regulator and to the burner connection (1). Enusre this connection is tight by using a No. 17 spanner. Make sure that the hose is placed in a way that is not subjected to strain and that it doesn’t come in contact with any parts that might become hot.
  • Open the gas cylinder.
  • Check if all connections are tight (e.g. with the help of a leak detector spray) and, if necessary, close the connections more firmly. Do not use the cooker if you suspect it may be leaking.

LIGHTING AND EXTINGUISHING THE APPLIANCE

Proceed as follows to light the appliance and adjust the flame:

  • Open the gas cylinder by turning the knob anticlockwise.
  • Open the gas cylinder by turning the knob anticlockwise. At the same time, place a flame close to the burner.
  • When the burner is on, you can lower the flame by turning the knob clockwise.
  • Should the flame extinguish, close the gas knob immediately. Examine the cooker and if nothing unusual is found, turn the flame back on as described above.

STORING THE APPLIANCE

  • After using the device first shut the gas cylinder valve.
  • Wait until all the gas in the hose has burned out and the flame is estingushed.
  • Shut the regulator valve on the handle once the flame has gone out.
  • Allow the appliance to cool down as certain parts of the system can become very hot even after the device has been used for only a short period.
  • The device must be allowed to cool down completely before disassembly and storage!

AIR SUPPLY REGULATOR RING

In the case of an uneven flame it is necessary to adjust the air supply regulator (3). See the troubleshooting section for details.

REGULATOR AND HOSE

Use only the hose and hose connector provided. If a replacement is necessary, please contact either
our Customer Service Department or your local gas dealer. The use of unauthorised or modified parts
can create unsafe conditions and could result in serious injury to the user. It is recommended that the
regulator is changed within 5 years of the date of manufacture. The hose used must conform to the relevant standard for the country of use. The length of the hose must be max. 1.5 metres. Worn or damaged hoses must be replaced. Ensure that the hose is not obstructed, kinked, or in contact with any part of the stove other than at its connection.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

  • Before being put away, the cooker must be thoroughly cleaned. Cleaning is particularly important if ” the appliance will not be used for a long period.
  • Clean the cooker only when it’s cold
  • Clean the appliance with water and a mild detergent.
  • If the burner or any of the tubes are clogged, you can disassemble the burner and use compressed air to remove the cause of obstruction.
  • Store the appliance in a dry place and away from dust. If possible put it back in its original packaging

RECYCLING

Worn out appliances must be recycled at a suitable recycling facility. Do not dispose of with the household waste. For further information contact your local authority. Dispose of the packaging material according to the type of material and accordingly to any local regulations.
