IMPORTANT REMARK
- The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol, within an equilateral triangle, is intended to alert the user to the presence of uninsulated “dangerous voltage” within the product’s enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons.
- The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the appliance.
WARNING (If applicable): The terminals marked with symbol of “ ” may be
of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock. The external
wiring connected to the terminals requires installation by an instructed
person or the use of ready-made leads or cords.
WARNING: To prevent fire or shock hazard, do not expose this equipment to
rain or moisture.
WARNING: An apparatus with Class I construction shall be connected to a
mains socket-outlet with a protective earthing connection.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- Read these instructions.
- Keep these instructions.
- Heed all warnings.
- Follow all instructions.
- Do not use this apparatus near water.
- Clean only with dry cloth.
- Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
- Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
- Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at the plugs, convenience receptacles, and at the point where they exit from the apparatus.
- Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
- Unplug the apparatus during lightening sorts or when unused for long periods of time.
- Refer all servicing to qualified personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
- Disconnecting from mains: When switching off the POWER switch, all the functions and light indicators of the unit will be stopped, but fully disconnecting the device from mains is done by unplugging the power cable from the mains input socket. For this reason, it always shall remain easily accessible.
- Equipment is connected to a socket outlet with earthing connection by means of a power cord.
- The marking information is located at the bottom of the unit.
- The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and that no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on apparatus.

INTRODUCTION
The AUDEO Series acoustic cabinets is the result of a profound analysis of
present and future needs for playing music and announcements. Some of the most
evident and direct applications for the AUDEO cabinet are shops, department
stores, schools, conference rooms, hotels, industries, offices, museums,
halls, hospitals, leisure areas, etc.
In some of these applications, you must also have an element to reinforce the
lower end of the audible spectrum, i.e., the lower frequencies or sub-bass.
The AUDEO SB110P self-powered subwoofer is ideal for these cases.
CONNECTION AND START UP
The AUDEO SB110P has two unbalanced RCA audio inputs, labelled INPUT L and
INPUT R. You can send them a mono or stereo line-level signal: the SB110P
internally works on mono signals and, therefore, adds L and R input signals to
obtain a valid signal to work on. You can link a second AUDEO SB110P unit or
other auxiliary equipment using L and R STACK outputs, also on RCA connectors.
L and R STACK output signal is a copy of the original L and R INPUT signal.
The unit’s AC power supply uses the supplied IEC lead, and the unit is turned
on/off by the ON/OFF switch. The “ON” LED is located on the left of the input
jacks; it lights up in green when the unit is on and in orange after entering
low consumption (standby) mode, and this automatically happens after detecting
no input signal for a few minutes. The unit also automatically returns to “ON”
mode (green LED) when it re-detects an input signal.
The AUDEO SB110P control panel also features the following user controls:
- PHASE: 0° / 180°. This switch allows you to invert the phase of the input signal, so that output signal phase can be aligned with signals produced by the other system speakers.
- VOLUME: Control for adjusting the input signal attenuation. The 0dBV central position corresponds to the nominal equipment sensitivity.
An internal low-pass filter is incorporated to the AUDEO SB110P for the unit to work on a selected sub-bass frequency range particularly suitable for combination with other AUDEO series speakers.
PLACEMENT AND INSTALLATION
Please observe the following general rules:
- As a subwoofer, the AUDEO SB110P has been designed to be installed in discrete places. Low frequencies are considered to be non-directional so the AUDEO SB110P can be perfectly placed in corners, under a table, behind curtains… that will not notably affect its output. Generally, it should be known that placing it close to various surfaces will increase its efficiency. Consequently, the sound pressure level will be higher if you place the speaker on the ground in a corner rather than just beside a wall and even more that in the centre of a room.
- There is no rule governing the number of mid/high speakers per subwoofer. It mainly depends on the subwoofer location and on the room acoustics. Thus, in a highly reflective room, a subwoofer may even damage intelligibility while several subwoofers could be necessary in a room with highly absorptive surfaces.
- Always place the speakers on solid and firm surfaces.
- Adapt the sound pressure levels to the diffusion needs.
