Preparation

IMPORTANT

• Reading installation instructions thoroughly before installing be sure to use proper tools.
• Measure the size of the alcove to insure that the base and panels fit properly.
• Before installation, please inspect the package to ensure no damages or missing parts have occurred while in shipping. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us directly.
• The step-by-step guidelines in the installation instructions are a general reference. Should there be any discrepancies, Sunrosa cannot be held liable.
• Product specifications are subject to change without notice. Please use the installation instructions supplied with the product.

CAUTION

• It is recommended that you wear safety glasses at all times during the installation.

CARE

• Clean and scrape the floor of the shower base alcove. This space must be free of any debris in order to get a proper adhesion with the thinset mortar.
•  In order to protect the SMC surface of your base,never use abrasive cleaners, metal brushes or scrapers, as they may scratch or tarnish the surface. Only clean it with a mild detergent diluted in water.

Installing The Shower Base

For American Classic Style

1. Install the drain fitting into the shower base. Mix and apply thin-set mortarto the floor, using the notched trowel.Spread the mixture to achieve a depth necessary to the voids in the floor and enable the pan to sit level. All supporting points should have contact with the thins et mortar.
2. After applying the thin-set, replace the shims (if necessary) in the proper location and set the base into place. Make sure the base is resting level on the thin-set and shims and centered in opening.
3.  Clean the area at the threshold of any excess thinset. Allow the thin-set and shower base to cure for24 hours before working in the base area. Be sure to protect the base floor after installation, using card board sheeting or a like material, until the complete project is finished.
4. Before proceeding to install the wall system, flood test the shower pan for proper drainage.

For American Tile Base

1. Frame out the shower stall area based on the shower pan dimensions and sweep out any debris from the sub floor. Test it the shower pan drain housing into subfloor bore hole. Make sure the shower pan is aligned properly and fts snuggly against the shower frame studs on all sides.
2. lf there is access from the subfloor below, then cut a section of drain pipe(PVC or ABS, as applicable to the type of drain) make a connection to the waste water pipe. Insert the section of drain pipe in the shower base drain connection. If there is no access irom the suibioor beiow, then make sure the drain pipe stubbed up from the subfloor is adjusted to a height sufficient to fit properly into the base drain connection.
3. Turn the base over so that you can vew the ribs on the bottom side,The ribs need to be filled wilth mortar put down a mortar bed on the entire frame in subfloor to the edge of the bore hole, being sure that any unevenness in the subfloor is leveled and prevent any deflection in the base.
4. Set the base carefully into the mortar bed and the drain housing in the bore hole.
5. Firmly press the base into place, making sure there is a good seal between the curb and the subfloor. Make sure that the curb and each splash wall is level for proper drainage. Adjust the height of the drain as necessary to accommodate the ceramic tile or marble.
6. Mix the second half of the epoxy adhesive and tile the rest of the base.

The manufacturer will not be held responsible for any damage or product failure due to improper installation, misuse, or failure to utilize a licensed professional for installation, nor shall we be responsible for any other incidental or consequential damages attributable to a product defect or to the repair or exchange of a defective product.
• This warranty extends only to the original purchaser and first consumer.
