TENT CARE TIPS
- 1. Seam seal your tent before camping to prevent water from entering through the needle holes in the fabric. This is a common occurrence with tents and is not a defect.
- 2. Condensation may form on the interior surface of your tent due to water vapor from your breath, perspiration, or any wet items in the tent. This is not a sign of leakage through the tent fabric.
- 3. Over time, the water-resistant coating on your tent may wear down. To maintain its effectiveness, consider spraying a water-resistant coating on the tent and rain fly every few years.
- 4. Avoid spraying insect repellent, hair spray, and other chemicals inside or near your tent, as they can damage the fabric and cause leakage.
- 5. Avoid leaving your tent set up in direct sunlight for extended periods of time, as the fabric may fade and weaken.
- 6. If the zippers on your tent become stuck, lubricate them with silicon. Never force a zipper closed, as this can cause it to bend and become harder to close.
- 7. Never pack or store a wet or damp tent, as this can lead to mildew. Make sure your tent is completely dry before storing it in a dry location.
- 8. To clean your tent, hand wash it with a sponge and mild soap. Avoid using a washing machine or bleach, and be sure to rinse and dry the tent thoroughly before storing it.
