Preparing the Transcend Battery for First Use

The Transcend batteries are an optional power source for Transcend devices. Before first use, batteries need to be fully charged.

  1. Remove the battery from its packaging.
  2. Insert the barrel connector of the CPAP AC Power Supply cord into the battery.
  3. Plug the AC Power Supply into an AC outlet. The battery will begin to charge automatically. It may take up to eight (8) hours to charge the P8 / P10 battery and up to four (4) hours to charge a Micro PowerAway™ Battery.

Once the battery is fully charged, it is ready for use with your Transcend device. A fully charged P8 battery is indicated when the LED light on the battery turns green. For the P10 and the Micro PowerAway™ Battery, all 4 fuel gauge LED lights turn green indicating full charge.

NOTE: Do not connect the battery to your Transcend CPAP device during the initial charge.

Using the Transcend Battery as a Primary Power Supply

  1. Insert the barrel connector of the battery into the power jack of your Transcend CPAP device.
  2. Be sure the power-up LED flash sequence completes indicating that power is being supplied to your device and that your device has successfully entered Standby Mode.

Note: Many factors can affect the run time of your PAP device including pressure setting, mask seal, breathing rate and the use of additional features or attachments such as pressure relief and humidification (including an HME).

Using the Transcend Battery as Backup Power with an AC Adapter

Using the Transcend battery in conjunction with an AC power supply allows the battery to charge during therapy and provides backup power for uninterrupted therapy in the case of a power outage.

  1. Insert the barrel connector of the battery into the power jack of your Transcend device.
  2. Insert the barrel connector from the CPAP AC adapter into the battery.
  3. Connect the CPAP AC adapter power cord to a power outlet.
