- Syringes are not for intra-oral
- To avoid cross-contamination, use clean gloves and a clean
- Redirect overhead light to prevent premature
- To optimize bond to each succeeding layer, do not remove oxygen inhibition layer between incremental layers of
- Ensure composite is totally polymerized between
Stepwise Instructions Preparation
1) Apply dentin bonding agent to preparation according to manufacturer’s instructions.
Use – Direct Restoration
- Open cap and twist handle (stem) clockwise to express desired amount of Resistance will lessen with each twist
- Place Transcend universal composite in incremental layers applying the first layer approximately 0.5 – 1.5 mm thick and Follow with up to 2 mm increments; curing after each increment. For curing lights with an intensity of ³ 800 mW/cm2 in the wavelength region of 385-515nm, cure each layer for 10 seconds. A final cure of 20 seconds is recommended.
- After final increment is placed, sculpt and light
- Shape, finish, and adjust occlusion using preferred method.
- Immediately replace cap after dispensing composite to prevent polymerization from ambient
Use – Indirect Restorations
- Make impression of prepared tooth and opposing
- Prepare master cast and articulate opposing cast using preferred
- Place Transcend universal composite in incremental layers applying the first layer approximately 0.5 – 1.5 mm thick and Follow with up to 2 mm increments; curing after each increment. For curing lights with an intensity of ³ 800 mW/cm2 in the wavelength region of 385-515nm, cure each layer for 10 seconds.
- Use final increments to create proximal contours and ensure marginal adaptation, a final cure of 20
seconds is recommended.
- Remove Clean off residual die stone and trim marginal flash. Additions can be made by
roughening restoration surface, applying adhesive, and placing Transcend universal composite as needed.
- Sandblast internal aspect of restoration with 50 µm alumina
- Seat restoration onto master cast, evaluate fit, occlusion, and Shape, finish, and adjust occlusion
using preferred method.
- Bond restoration intraorally per adhesive manufacturer’s
- Following cementation, make necessary occlusal adjustment and polish adjusted
Use – Singles (capsule), Direct Restoration
- Keep capsule caps on until
- Snap capsule firmly into composite gun before trying to
- Unit dose capsule are designed for single patient use only. Do not reuse to avoid the risk of cross Discard capsule after use.
- Place composite in incremental layers applying the first layer approximately 5 – 1.5mm thick and cure. Follow with up to 2 mm increments; curing after each increment.
