Hog Wire Modular Line Rail Installation PROCEDURES
STEP 1: Measure the distance between posts, then mark and cut rails to
size if needed. STEP 2: Determine the sweep beneath the bottom rail by
measuring the center span. (Recommended) Attach a support block to the center
using provided screws from the block kit.
STEP 3: Place the bottom rail between both posts, using a level. Using
the instructions from the bracket kit, mark and attach both brackets onto each
post in the appropriate locations. Install rail into brackets using provided
1-1/4 in. screws.
STEP 4: Align two hog wire panels and channels between posts. Ensure
there are no spaces larger than 4 inches between each panel (with channels)
and the posts.
If the wooden rail was shortened in Step 1 and the panels do not fit between the two posts, they can be trimmed to size. Note: exposed metal must be painted with rust-protecting exterior-grade paint to prevent corrosion.
STEP 5 : Center and fasten the panels to the bottom rail using the 1-1/4 in. screws provided.
STEP 6: Install the top rail by repeating steps 1 and 3. Fasten the panels to the top rail and u-channels to both the top and bottom rail using the 1-1/4 in. screws provided.
If you shorten the length of the panel in Step 4, the u-channel can be
installed over the newly painted end.
STEP 7: Finish your railing kit with decorative postcaps. Check out our
