Installation

  1. Unscrew the plastic wall plate from the speaker bracket and mark out, drill and fix to the wall as required.

  2. Line up the steel speaker bracket against the plastic wall plate at the required tilt angle and secure using the 2 screws provided through 2 of the punched holes.

  3. Locate the speaker into the speaker bracket and secure using the screw caps provided on the top and bottom.
    Installation

  4. Adjust the horizontal angle (pan) of the speaker by loosening the screw caps, turning the speaker and re-tightening the screw caps.

  5. Remove the cover on the rear of each speaker to reveal the spring terminals.

  6. If the amplifier is 100V type, select the required wattage output on the rotary switch inside the rear speaker compartment.

  7. If the amplifier is not a 100V type, ensure that the total speaker load on each output is no lower than that stated for the amplifier.
Select the 16Ω option on the rotary switch and connect
    1 x BHV speaker for a 16Ω load,
2 x BHV speakers in parallel for an 8Ω load or
4 x BHV speakers in parallel for a 4Ω load.

  8. Use good quality 2-core speaker wire capable of carrying the rated power and connect to the speaker terminals. Strip back the insulation, press down the terminal, thread the wire through the terminal post and release to grip the bare wire.

  9. If installing in sheltered outdoor areas, fit the cover over the rear terminal cavity to protect the wiring from moisture.

  10.  Connect the + and – terminals on the speaker to the relative outputs on the amplifier.
