Product Usage Instructions
Connect
To connect your EVO 8 to your computer, follow these steps:
- Plug in the USB cable provided.
- Wait for the EVO 8’s volume wheel LED’s to illuminate and perform a short animation.
- Once the animation finishes, the Volume button will illuminate.
Install Drivers
In order to start using your EVO 8, you need to download and install the
latest drivers. Follow these steps:
- Visit the website https://evo.audio/evo8/downloads.
- Download and install the drivers.
- You may be prompted to update the unit’s firmware during the installation.
- For a detailed installation guide and user manual, visit our website.
Smartgain Mode
To use the Smartgain Mode, follow these steps:
- Press the Smartgain button to begin.
- The Smartgain LED will illuminate green.
- The input channel LED’s (1, 2, 3 & 4) will start flashing, indicating a channel must be selected.
- Press one or more of the input channel buttons to select the channels to be adjusted.
- The Smartgain LED will start flashing red and the volume wheelLED’s will illuminate, indicating that Smartgain Mode is now listening.
- Start playing or performing into the microphone.
- Smartgain Mode will automatically adjust the levels.
- When complete, the Smartgain button will flash green twice to indicate a successful adjustment.
- Press the Smartgain button again to begin the process for another adjustment.
Start Recording
Once you have completed the above steps, you are now ready to start
recording using your EVO 8.

How many channels of phantom power can I use simultaneously?
If you are using a USB A connection, you can only use 2 channels of phantom power simultaneously. To use 4 channels of phantom power simultaneously, you need to use a USB C-Cconnection. -
