Brief Introduction

Thanks for purchasing this product from mbeat. Please read instructions carefully before use and store in a safe place for future reference.

Care Installation

Do NOT leave vinyl record on the turntable after use.
Return the vinyl record to its original package & store.
Retain the toner arm to its original place after use.
Replace the protective cap of the stylus cartridge after use.
Close the turntable cover to avoid dust and lock it properly.
Turn off power and unplug the cables after use.

Product includes “Audacity” software. You can also download the latest version software from below website: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/

Open/Close The Lid

To open the lid, raise it as far as it will go unitl the lid support bracket “lock” in the openposition. To close the lid, lift it upward slightly unitl the lid support bracket “unlock” and then gently lower the lid with care.
To avoid damaging the cabinet or the lid , never force the lid to close. Always raise the lid to release the lid support bracket and pay attention to your figures.

Protect Your Furniture

This model is equipped with non-skid rubber feet to prevent the product from moving when you operate the controls. These feet are made from non-migrating rubber material specially formulated to avoid leaving any marks or stains on your furniture.
However certain types of oil based furniture polishes, wood preservatives, or cleaning sprays may case the rubber feet to soften and leave marks or rubber residue on the furniture. We recommend that you purchase small self-adhesive pads to apply to the bottom of the rubber feet before you place the product on fine wooden furniture.

Front Panel Controls

| Function Switch-
Use this to select different functions of the turntable.
1. Bluetooth 2. Phono or Aux-In 3. AM 4. FM

| Bluetooth LED indicator-
Display Bluetooth function status.
| AM/FM Tuner-
Use this function to tune AM/FM radio. For a better reception, make sure the antenna is fully extended
and the unit is placed in the strong signal area.
| Power On/Off & Volume
Use this function to turn on/off the unit and control the speaker’s volume. Do not turn the volume to
max to avoid sound distortion in some cases.
Remember to turn the unit off after playing.
| Power On/Off Indicator
When the unit is on, the LED is Red.

Unpacking

  1. Remove packing material and set the unit on its end.
  2. Open the lid of the unit with care.
  3. Remove the black tie-wrap from the Tone Arm.
  4. Remove the white stylus protective cap.
  5. Release the tone arm Hold Down Clip. Unlock the tone arm.

Bluetooth Function

To use Bluetooth Function to play digital music wirelessly through the smartphone or tablet, please follow below procedures:

  1. Turn on the power of the unit.

  2. Turn the Function Switch to Bluetooth function.

  3.  The Bluetooth LED indicator starts blinking and ready for pairing.

  4. In the meantime, you need to turn on your device’s Bluetooth function in Bluetooth set up section and start to search new Bluetooth Device nearby.
    You will find a new Bluetooth Device named”MB-USBTR98″, choose this device to pair.

  5. In just few seconds your device is paired and connected with this turntable, the Bluetooth LED indicator stops blinking and stays on. Your device is connected!

  6. Adjust the volume button of the turntable, now you can enjoy digital music wirelessly with this turntable.

ATTENTION:
Try not to turn the volume to max to avoid distortion music in some cases.
Do not place your cellphone near the turntable’s speakers, cellphone transmission signal can interfere Bluetooth speakers and create static background noise in some cases.

Turntable Function

To use tumntable player function, please follow below procedures:

  1. Plug the small end of the power plug into your turntable.
  2. Connect the big end of the power plug to the wall outlet.
  3. Place the vinyl record on your turntable.
  4. Set the correct speed (rpm) of your vinyl record (33/45/RPM). For 45RPM vinyl, using the 45RPM adaptor.
  5. Turn on the power and turn the function switch to” PHONO/AUX-IN”.
  6. Move the tone arm to the desired starting point on the record. The turntable is playing now.
  7. Adjust speaker volume to the preferred level.
  8. Slide the Auto Stop switch to choose the auto stop on/off.
  9. At the end of the record, the Tone Arm will stop automatically. You must return the tone arm to the Tone Arm Rest manually.

AM/FM Radio

To use AM/M function, please follow below procedures:

  1. Turn the Function Switch to AM or FM
  2. Fully extend the pigtail antenna and place the antenna in good reception area.
  3. Use the AM/FM tuner to tune the stations.

Other Functions

3.5 mm AUX- IN
Enable you to connect your mp3 player or iPod to play back music through turntable’s side speakers. To use this function, make sure the Function Switch is switched to “PHONO/AUX-IN”mode.
RCA Audio Out
Enable you to play back your turntable music through the external speakers.
To make this connection, you need RCA cable (not include).
Play 45RPM Vinyl
Place the 45 rpm adaptor over the spindle. Gentle place your 45 rpm record onto the turntable. Follow the procedures of Turntable Function to play your record.
USB Record to PC
Enable you to connect the turntable to the PC/MAC and convert your record to digital.

Record to Computer

Using the included software and cable, the USB connection allows you to record your vinyl to your computer. Follow these instructions to use the USB.
Install recording software
Install the software from the CD disk or download the software from below link: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/ Make sure that you download the right version for your 0S.
Start to record to your PC/Mac

  1. Place the vinyl record on your turntable.
  2. Power on the turntable device.
  3. Connect the USB from the turntable to your PC/Mac.
  4. Open the Audacity software on your PC/Mac.
  5. Refer below instructions to record your file under different 0S.

  1. Click record button to record.

  1. Click record button to record.
  2. Adjust record volume to the max. level.

  1. Click record button to record.
  2. Adjust record volume to the max. level.

Save to Computer

Click the [STOP] button on software to stop recording.
Click [File]-[SAVE] to save file to your PC or Mac.
If you like to segement record, you will have to use your mouse to manually select what you like to save from the oringal recorded file and save one by one.
Hint on how to segement record:
Normally the begin or the end of the track contains no sound signal, the signal is flat without significant movement in audacity.

Replace Stylus

Generally speaking, the turntable’s stylus needs to be replaced every 3-4 months
after continue playing. You can visit www.mbeat.com.au to orde the replacement.

Troubleshooting

  1. Device is not power on?
    Make sure that the turntable is connected to the power point and the Power On/Off button is turned on.

  2. Noise from the speakers?
    Check if your vinyl is damaged or scratched and the speed of turntable is set to correct.
    Turntable stylus needs to be replaced after being plyaed every 3-4 months.
    Try not to turn the recorder’s speaker volume to the max. level to avoid sound distortion in some cases.

  3. Can not connect to the Bluetooth?
    Make sure the Function Switch is turned to”BLUETOOTH” function.Make sure your device’s Bluetooth function is turned on and you have selected the correct device.
    Please do not place your cellphone too close to the Bluetooth speakers, cellphone signal could interfere the speakers and create static noise during playing.

  4. Recorded file has no sound ?
    This usually happens when the correct audio I/0 is not selected. Refer “Record to PC/MAC” chapter and pay attention to [Preference] setting’s Play back/Recording source set up.

  5. How can I play back recorded files?
    You can play back recorded files using Windows Media Player or other media player software, such as “VLC player” (search on Google).
