- What is Kerasal® Fungal Nail Renewal™?
- Kerasal® Fungal Nail Renewal™ is a nail repair solution that improves the appearance of nails damaged by fungus. It helps normalize the thickness of the nail, reduce discolouration, and hydrate the nail. Kerasal® Fungal Nail Renewal™ is free from preservatives and fragrances.
- How is Kerasal® Fungal Nail Renewal™ different from other products?
- Some over-the-counter products such as FungiNail®, FungiCure®, Proclearz® and Dr Blaine’s® may appear to be a treatment for nail fungus, when in fact indicated for the treatment of athlete’s foot. That is why the back panel of these products say, “This product is not effective on the scalp or nails.” Unlike these products, Kerasal® is specially formulated for use on the nail to improve the appearance of nails damaged by nail fungus.
- How long does it take before I see signs of improvement with Kerasal® Fungal Nail Renewal™?
- A recent study has shown that that the majority of users start to see improvement within 2 days. Over 90% of people saw a visible improvement after 8 weeks when used as directed. It is important to use for a minimum of 8 weeks as results will continue to improve with longer usage. Depending on severity of condition, 3 to 6 months of application may be needed to achieve full effect.
- How do I use Kerasal® Fungal Nail Renewal™?
- Apply a thin layer 2 times per day for the first week of use, once in the morning and once at night directly to the affected nail and under the free edge of the nail (toe or fingernails). After 1 week, continue to apply once per day at night for a minimum of 8 weeks total. Allow a few minutes to dry after each application.

- Does Kerasal® Fungal Nail Renewal™ treat or cure fungal infections?
- No, Kerasal® does not treat or cure fungal infections. Kerasal® can help improve the appearance of the nails damaged by nail fungus by reducing discolouration, helping normalize thickness and hydrating brittle nails. It is important to know that a fungal nail infection can only be cured with a prescription treatment. There are no over-the-counter treatments that cure nail fungus. Your doctor may prescribe a topical nail fungus treatment or a medication you take by mouth for the treatment of fungal nails. Before starting any of these prescription treatments you should know that it can be difficult to cure a fungal nail infection and can take a long time to see a change in the appearance of the nail.
- If the prescription antifungal medicine successfully eliminates the fungus, it still does not repair the nail once it is damaged. It takes about 12 months for a healthy toenail to fully grow in and replace the damaged nail.
