18055510 DEVImat/DTVF Contents

6 pcs. rivets.
4 pcs. Kynar 4/1.6, 25 mm – transparent.
1 pcs. cold tail type DTWB-10, 500 mm – medium.
2 pcs. Shrink tube – 9/3, 130 mm – large.
2 pcs. Shrink tube 6/1.4, 75 mm – small.

WARNING!
Please note that repairing the heating mat may result in a changed output.
Consequently, do not repair across cable loops.
Repair of DEVImat and DEVIcomfort is made by cutting away the defect piece of DEVImat and DEVIcomfort heating cable and replacing it with a piece of DTWB-10.
Therefore, the following connection process must be carried out twice.

Stripping lengths for DEVImat and DEVIcomfort-DTWB

DEVImat and DEVIcomfort:

Strip the sheath 55 mm.
Cut the alu sheath and glass/ Kevlar wire and leave only heat conductors and screen conductor (wire without insulation).
Release the screen and twist it.
Strip the middle sheath 45 mm.
Shorten one of the heat conductors 25 mm.
Strip both heat conductors 15 mm.
Bend both heat conductors 7 mm.

DTWB:

Strip the sheath 50 mm.
Release the screen and twist it.
Strip the middle sheath 40 mm.
Shorten the black wire 25 mm.
Strip the black and the blue wire 7 mm.

Connection instructions

Push a transparent shrink tube – Kynar 4/1.6, 25 mm – over the longest heat conductor and the blue conductor. Reduce a medium shrink tube – 6/1.4, 100 mm – to 75 mm and push it over the DEVImat and DEVIcomfort.
Push a large shrink tube – 9/3, 130 mm – over the DTWB.
Rivet the heat conductors and conductors.
Push and center a transparent shrink tube – Kynar 4/1.6, 25 mm – over the rivets and shrink it with a hot air blower.
Push a medium shrink tube – 6/1.4, 75 mm – over the connection so that it covers the middle sheath of the DEVImat and DEVIcomfort and the DTWB respectively, and heat it from the middle and towards the ends.
Shorten the twisted screens so they just reach each other.
Rivet the screens.
Push a large shrink tube – 9/3, 130 mm – over the connection, centre it and heat it from the middle and towards the ends.
The connection has now been completed. Make the same connection between the DTWB cable and the other cut off DEVImat and DEVIcomfort cable end.

Warranty

A 2-year product warranty is valid for:
• accessories: DEVIcrimp repair set.
Should you, against all expectations, experience a problem with your DEVI product, you will find that Danfoss offers DEVIwarranty valid from the date of purchase on the following conditions: During the warranty period Danfoss shall offer a new comparable product or repair the product if the product is found to be faulty by reason of defective design, materials or workmanship. The repair or replacement.
The decision to either repair or replace will be solely at the discretion of Danfoss. Danfoss shall not be liable for any consequential or incidental damages including, but not limited to, damages to property or extra utility expenses. No extension of the warranty period following repairs undertaken is granted.
The warranty shall be valid only if the WARRANTY CERTIFICATE is completed correctly and in accordance with the instructions, the fault is submitted to theinstaller or the seller without undue delay and proof of purchase is provided. Please note that the WARRANTY CERTIFICATE must be filled in, stamped and signed by the authorized installer performing the installation (Installation date must be indicated).
After the installation is performed, store and keep the WARRANTY CERTIFICATE and purchase documents (invoice, receipt or similar) during the whole warranty period.
DEVIwarranty shall not cover any damage caused by incorrect conditions of use, incorrect installation or if installation has been carried out by non- authorized electricians.
All work will be invoiced in full if Danfoss is required to inspect or repair faults that have arisen as a result of any of the above. The DEVIwarranty shall not extend to products which have not been paid in full. Danfoss will, at all times, provide a rapid and effective response to all complaints and inquiries from our customers.
The warranty explicitly excludes all claims exceeding the above conditions.
