Operating Instructions for the iLOQ K55S.2 Key Fob
- Press and release the button on the iLOQ K55S.2 Key Fob to activate it. The LED will blink amber.
- Within 5 seconds of pressing the button, touch the iLOQ Reader Knob or iLOQ NFC Reader with the bottom of the K55S.2 to activate the lock.
NOTE: If access is denied, the K55S.2 or the iLOQ NFC reader will show a red light. Check your access rights with the locking system administrator.
- Wait until the K55S.2 shows a green light to indicate that access is granted. The K55S.2 shows an amber light while scanning the iLOQ NFC reader and shows a purple light when communicating with the iLOQ NFC reader.
- Turn the iLOQ Reader Knob to operate the lock (open or close).

Overview
The iLOQ K55S.2 Key Fob is a programmable device for opening doors equipped with iLOQ S50 lock cylinders or iLOQ NFC readers. The K55S.2 is programmed to the customer specific locking system by the administrator using iLOQ Manager software. The K55S.2 is reusable and can be reprogrammed for use in a different system after being reset to the factory settings.
Care and Maintenance
- The product is designed to be maintenance-free. It does not require any regular maintenance.
- Do not use the iLOQ K55S.2 Key Fob for other purposes except those mentioned in these instructions.
- Using the K55S.2 for other purposes may damage it.
- The K55S.2 is to be kept secure so that only an authorized person can use it.
- In case of losing the K55S.2, contact the administrator of the locking system. Blocklisting of the lost K55S.2 is done with the iLOQ Manager software. The affected locks are then reprogrammed.
- Maximum temperature range for use: -20 – +55C
- Maximum temperature range for charging: 0 – +40C
- Ingress protection rating: IP67. Keep the K55S.2 clean and dry. If the K55S.2 is wet or dirty, use a soft cloth for drying and cleaning.

- The K55S.2 is an electronic product including a Lithium Ion rechargeable battery. Appropriate recycling as WEEE waste must be followed.
- For customer claims, technical support etc, please contact your administrator. Your administrator will contact the appropriate iLOQ partner for support.
- Recharge the K55S.2 if operation is abnormal. During charging, the K55S.2 restarts itself.
- If abnormal operation continues, contact the locking system administrator.
- The K55S.2 can be updated by the user via iLOQ Online connected NFC readers and the iLOQ S50 Phone Key Application.

Before the first use
- Charge the iLOQ K55S.2 Key Fob before the first use to make sure that it operates correctly.
Operating instructions for the iLOQ K55S.2 Key Fob
- Press and release the button on the iLOQ K55S.2 Key Fob to activate it.
- The LED will blink amber.
- Within 5 seconds of pressing the button, touch the iLOQ Reader Knob or iLOQ NFC Reader with the bottom of the K55S.2 to activate the lock.

- NOTE! After 5 seconds (default), the cylinder will automatically be locked. When the cylinder is locked, the iLOQ Reader Knob cannot be rotated.
- NOTE! When locking a door, try to rotate the iLOQ Reader Knob clockwise and counterclockwise to make sure that the knob is in the locked position and the door remains closed.

Programming the iLOQ K55S.2 Key Fob
The iLOQ K55S.2 Key Fob can be programmed by the locking system administrators. Contact the administrators if you need to have your access rights changed. Contact the administrators if you lose your K55S.2. This is important so that administrators can block list the lost K55S.2 to prevent unauthorized access with the lost Key Fob.
Updating the iLOQ K55S.2 Key Fob
The iLOQ K55S.2 Key fob is automatically updated by the iLOQ online connected iLOQ NFC readers when opening doors. The K55S.2 can be updated with the iLOQ S50 Phone key application by holding an activated K55S.2 to the phone’s NFC antenna while the iLOQ S50 Phone key application is active. The K55S.2 can also be updated by locking system administrators.
AK50.1-AK50.9 Color Markers
- The AK50.1-AK50.9 Color Markers can be used to personalize the iLOQ K55S.2 Key Fobs.
- To replace the Color Marker, remove the old one with a suitable tool and replace it with a new one.
Disposal of Decommissioned Products
If a product is defective, replace it with a new one using the installation instructions. If you are not sure how to replace or discard a certain product, contact the device manufacturer. Contact information can be found at support.iloq.com.
