Helmet Installation Notes
For securely mounting the intercom headset to the helmet, follow these steps:

Back Clip Installation

  1. Break the clip apart and insert it between the helmet inner pad and outer shell.
  2. With the ear as the center position, put the speaker and the adhesive sheet into the speaker groove of the helmet. If there is no speaker groove in some helmets, please consult the helmet manufacturer.
  3. If the speaker groove of the helmet is deep, the speaker pad could help raise up the speaker so that it is close to the ear.

Microphone Installation
Depending on the type of helmet, follow one of the installation methods:

  • Full Helmet Mount: Stick the soft microphone on the inside of the helmet at the mouth position and use Velcro to fix the microphone cable.
  • 3/4 Helmet Installation: Insert and fix the hard rod microphone between the inner pad and the outer side shell of the helmet. Bend the microphone rod and adjust the height. Put on the sponge windproof cover and ensure that the microphone is in a proper position close to the mouth.

Main Unit Installation
To install the main unit to the base, follow these steps:

  1. Align the main unit with the notch of the base.
  2. Rotate the main unit clockwise until it stops. The rotation angle is about 50 degrees.

Main Unit Disassembly
To disassemble the main unit from the base for charging, follow these steps:

  1. Forcefully turn the main unit counterclockwise until it is removed from the notch. The rotation angle is about 50 degrees.

Power On and Off

  • To power on the unit:
    • In the power off state, press the + and buttons at the same time.
  • To power off the unit:
    • In any mode, press the + and buttons at the same time.

Charging
To charge the intercom headset:

  • Connect the provided USB-C cable to the device.
  • The unit can be fully charged in about 2.5 hours (charging time varies depending on the charging method).

Note: This product has a fast charging function. After charging for 0.5 hour, you can get 2 hours of MESH intercom communication time.

Caution: This product is only compatible with USB charging devices with an input voltage of 5V. Using a non-compliant charger may cause fire, explosion, leakage, or other hazards, and may also damage the battery’s lifetime or performance.

Battery Level Check
The current battery level of the device will be broadcasted when powering on. When the remaining battery life is less than 2 hours, a low battery reminder will be broadcasted with the prompt “The current battery is less than 10%, please charge as soon as possible.”

Getting Started

    To securely mount the intercom headset to the helmet, follow these steps:

  7. Install the microphone:

  8. Pasting installation

  9. For any reason the base cannot be mounted on the helmet with the back clip, the base can be mounted by the paste method.

  10. Remove the rubber pad of the base and replace it with the 3M adhesive pad (ring shape) attached in the package

  11. Find an appropriate location on the surface of the helmet to install the device (it is recommended to place it on the lower left side), and clean the installation location on the surface of the helmet with alcohol cotton to ensure that there is no dust or dirt attached

  12. Tear off the protective layer of the 3M adhesive pad, stick the base on the surface of the helmet, press firmly and keep it for a few minutes

  13. Continue to install the speaker and microphone, please refer to 3.1 for the installation method

  14. Install the main unit to the base
    Align the main unit with the notch of the base, and rotate the main unit clockwise until it stops (the rotation angle is about 50 degrees)

  15. Disassemble the main unit from the base
    When it needs to be charged, you can forcefully turn the main unit counterclockwise until it is removed from the notch (the rotation angle is about 50 degrees)

Power on and off

  • In the power off state, press <function key + Music key> or <function key + Team key> at the same time to power on the unit

volume adjustment

  • Turn the lever button clockwise to increase the volume, and turn the lever button counterclockwise to decrease the volume.
  • If you keep the action while turning the lever, the volume will increase/decrease continuously.
  • This product can customize the volume, prompt tone, etc. of each function through the App. Settings via the App will not be reset when the headset is restarted.

Pair with phone

  1. Initial pairing
    When power on for the first time or restarting after deleting all pairings, it will automatically enter the mobile phone pairing state;

  2. Enter pairing at power on state
    If you want to turn on the mobile phone pairing mode in the next power on process after power on, press and hold <function key + Music key> or <Team key

  • function key> for 2 seconds in the off state, the unit will turn on and enter the phone pairing state, it will not reconnect to the previously connected device

    1. Enter pairing during normal use
      In the process of normal using, in addition to the call state, press and hold the function button for 3 seconds, the unit will enter the phone pairing state;
      If already connected to the phone, the current connection will be interrupted

phone related functions

  4. At the same time, you can also turn on the VOX function and say “hello” or “answer” to the microphone loudly to answer the call.

  6. Wake up/close phone voice assistant
    When the phone connected, except in the call-related state, you can short press the function button to wake up the phone voice assistant to realize voice control related functions; short press again will cancel the phone assistant

Fast Dial

  1. Fast Dial Presets
  2. The fast dial function needs to pre-set the fast dial number (only 1) on the App;
  3. This number can be set in App->Fast Dial Settings

  5. When the phone is connected, except in the call-related state, the shortcut number can be dialed by long pressing the music key and holding it for 3 seconds.
  6. Note: If it is not set in the App, this operation will have no effect
  7. Play/Pause Music
  8. When the phone is connected, except in the call-related state, you can pause/play music by short pressing the music button
  9. Note: The system music player software is default, and some systems or some music software may not be wake up due to compatibility.

HIVEMESH intercom

  1. What is HIVEMESH?
    HiveMesh™ is a dynamic communication system created by BEEBEST, which can easily connect up to 16 nearby users through one-click teaming, providing instant, full-duplex communication.

  2. HIVEMESH intercom team formation & number confirmation

  3. Short press the team button to start the Mesh team search, BEEBEST Q will automatically connect to nearby users who also open the Mesh team search, and automatically form a communication team. After the team formation is completed, teammates will be able to chat with each other.

  4. In the process of forming a team, a reminder of the current team size will be played, and the current teammate status can also be checked through the “BEEBEST” App

  5. HIVEMESH cancel team formation
    When in the process of Mesh team search, you can short press the team button to cancel the team, BEEBEST Q will end the Mesh team search, and will not affect the team formation process of other users, and will prompt “Exited team up”

  6. HIVEMESH exit from the current team
    When you are in an already-formed team, you can short press the team button to exit the current team; after this operation, a voice prompt will be played “Do you want to exit the current team, please press the team button to confirm”, when you press team button again the prompt sound “Exit the team” will be played. At this time, BEEBEST Q will end the current team call and will not affect the team call of other users

  7. HIVEMESH invites new members to join the current team
    When you are in an already-formed team, you can long press the team button for 2 seconds to invite a nearby user who has enabled Mesh team search to join the current team. By default, the user closest to the machine will be invited. After 1 user joins , the process will end automatically

  8. Enable/disable microphone (default enabled)

  9. When you are in an already-formed team, you can long press the function button for 1 second to temporarily mute the microphone of the machine, and the prompt sound ” Mute on” will be played. At this time, teammates will not be able to hear any of your voice; Team connection has no effect, you can still hear your teammates

  10. When the microphone is muted, you can long press the function button for 1 second to turn on the microphone of the machine, and a prompt sound “Mute off” will be played, and the communication will return to normal.

Two-way Intercom between the front and rear seats

  1. What is a two-way intercom?

  2. BEEBEST Q can be connected to ordinary Bluetooth headsets for two-way intercom. The distance between the two devices is limited to the front and rear seats of the motorcycle. After paired, it provides instant, full-duplex communication.

  3. Note: Some brands of Bluetooth headsets may not support this function.

  4. Two-way front and rear seat intercom pairing
    Press and hold <Team button + Music button> for 2 seconds to enter the two-way intercom pairing mode. BEEBEST Q will automatically connect to the nearby Bluetooth earphones that have entered the pairing mode, and will play the prompt sound “Two-way intercom pairing”. After the connection is successful, it will automatically open Two-way intercom, the prompt sound “The front and rear seat devices have been connected” will be played, and then the two teammates will be able to talk to each other
    You can also confirm the current team situation or assist in Bluetooth connection through the “BEEBEST” App

  5. Two-way intercom teaming cancel
    When in the process of two-way intercom searching, you can long press 2s <team button + music button> to cancel the two-way team, BEEBEST Q will end the two- way search, and prompt “Cancel two-way pairing”

  6. The two-way intercom ends
    When in the process of two-way intercom, you can long press 2s <team key + music key> to end the two-way intercom team, BEEBEST Q will end the two-way intercom, and prompt “exit two-way intercom”

  7. Enable/disable microphone (default enabled)
    When in the two-way intercom, you can long press function button for 1 second to temporarily mute the local microphone, and the prompt “Mute on” will be played. At this time, teammates will not be able to hear any of your voices; this operation has no effect on the current team connection, you can still hear your teammates
    When the microphone is muted, you can long press the function button for 1 second to turn on the microphone, and a prompt “Mute off” will be played, and the communication will return to normal.

  8. Integration of two-way intercom and HIVEMESH intercom

  9. When in the two-way intercom, you can join the two devices into the Mesh intercom call by turning on the Mesh team function
    Operation method: short press the team button

  10. When in the Mesh intercom, you can pair the two-way intercom function with BEEBEST Q to add the devices to the Mesh intercom call
    Operation method: long press <team button + music button> for 2 seconds to form a two-way intercom team

  11. Explanation of special circumstances

  12. When one of the following scenarios occurs, the two-way pairing will fail, and the prompt sound “pairing failed”

  14. The search time has run out and no Bluetooth headset can be found

    You can retry this function by long pressing the <team button + music button> for 2 seconds after hearing the prompt

  16. In order to ensure the stability and call effect, users are not recommended to perform the following team operations:

  17. Connect more than 3 Bluetooth devices in the Mesh intercom team for common communication

  18. Connect 2 BEEBEST Q to the same Bluetooth headset that supports multi-device connection

  19. Connect 2 BEEBEST Qs for two-way intercom, and form a Mesh team at the same time

Other functions

  1. Software upgrade
    After the BEEBEST Q is connected to the mobile phone, log in to the “BEEBEST” App, and after binding the device, you can check the software version of the current device, the latest software version, and do software upgrades according to the guidelines of the App

  2. Connect the walkie-talkie
    BEEBEST Q supports the connection of some models of BEEBEST brand walkie- talkies and Xiaomi walkie-talkies. After connected successfully, you can use BEEBEST Q to control the sending and receiving of the walkie-talkie. Please log in to the “BEEBEST” App, bind the device and follow the instructions of the App to connect. For the list of supported models, please check in the App

APP Personalization Function

The user can log in to the “BEEBEST” App, and after binding the device, do personalization.

  1. Bluetooth name modification
