Do you have the door handle in the right size? The packaging should contain:
- 2 door handles with shield
- connection pin
- 2 bolts
- Allen key
With the toilet door handle you will also find the toilet lock, a transparent adapter (to fit the pin, if necessary) and a thin Allen key for securing the toilet lock.
BEFORE YOU START!
Gather the necessary tools.
To mount the door handle, you will need the following tools:
- tape measure for checking dimensions
- drill and an 10 mm drill bit
- flat-blade screwdriver
- pencil (or e.g. an awl) for marking the drill holes
- level (optional, but handy)
- Allen key (included)
Insert the pen through the lock.
- Insert the connecting pin through the lock so that it protrudes equally far on both sides of the door.
- Now slide the door handle over the pin until the door handle connects to the door.
MOUNTING ASSEMBLAGE
Secure the door handle to the pin (temporarily).
Use the supplied Allen key to temporarily tighten the bolt in the door handle
so that the handle remains in the correct position when marking the drill
holes.
MONTAGE
Mark the drill holes.
- Make sure that the door handle is level when you mark out the drill holes.
- If the handle is mounted on the door properly and straight, use a pencil (or an awl, for instance) to mark out the drill holes.
Drill the holes for fastening.
- Unscrew the door handle with the Allen key and remove the door handle from the door.
- Carefully drill 10 mm diameter holes perpendicular to the door where you have marked them.
Note! Don’t drill the holes all the way through the door yet, but only about halfway through.
Repeat for the other side.
- Now repeat steps 4, 5 and 6 for the other side of the door. You use the same door handle for this (containing the screw holes).
- Note! The drill holes should now go all the way through the door.
Screw the door handles onto the door.
- Now put both door handles back on the connecting pin and press it against the door as firmly as possible.
- Secure them in the drill holes using the included bolts. Use a hand screwdriver (not a battery-powered screwdriver) to avoid applying too much pressure.
Secure the door handle to the connecting pin.
- Secure the door handle to the connecting pin using the Allen key.
- Check that everything is securely fastened by moving the door handle up and down several times.
- If it is loose or crooked, you can easily make some adjustments using a screwdriver.
Are you mounting a door handle with a toilet lock?
- You insert the connecting pin of the toilet lock through the door. Use the transparent adapter to make the pin fit. Slide the knob of the toilet lock onto the pin on the other side.
- Use the included Allen key to tighten the bolt in the knob at the bottom.
- We hope you enjoy your new door handle!
Free parts service
- Are you missing a screw, socket bolt, washer, adapter or other parts of a door handle or rosette that you bought from us?
- Then please send an e-mail to info@deurklink24.nl and these parts will then be sent free of charge.
10-year warranty
- We offer a 10 functionality warranty on the moving parts of all door handles and rosettes. A defect is repaired with new parts or an entirely new product. Shipping costs are also covered by the warranty.
- The lock hole does not match
- When you cannot mount the door lock correctly because the lock distance of the door latch does not match the one on your lock, exchange is no problem. Please contact us via
- info@deurklink24.nl for this.
- Detach door handle from shield (turn handle)
- With the help of locking ring pliers, it is possible to disassemble the handle from the shield. Then you can reassemble everything in mirror image. The visible screw holes of the shield are now on the other side. Because the recoil spring has to be under tension, it is very difficult to reassemble the handle. Disassembling the door handle voids the warranty.
Maintenance
Regularly wipe the door handle with a soft, possibly damp cloth. Do not use any cleaning agents. Depending on the situation, the black coating may become lighter over time. Applying a thin layer of clear wax or acid-free Vaseline largely eliminates this effect.
WE HOPE YOU ENJOY YOUR NEW DOOR HANDLE!
