Product Usage Instructions

Initial Setup
Before using the D01 Ring, make sure to follow these steps:

1. If you are using an Android or HarmonyOS phone, you can connect the ring to your device via Bluetooth. For iPhone and iPad, please refer to the instructions on page 5.
2. To turn on the ring, press and hold the middle button for 1 second. The red and blue lights will flash alternately.
3. The ring will automatically connect to the last device it was paired with when turned on again.

Connecting to Phone/Tablet/iPad
To connect the D01 Ring to your device, follow these steps:

1. Press and hold the middle button of the ring for 1 second. The red and blue lights will flash alternately.
2. Turn on the Bluetooth on your mobile phone or tablet.
3. Search for the Bluetooth device named “D01” and click to connect.
4. Once the Bluetooth connection is complete, you can use the ring in Short Video Mode. For tablets and iPads, make sure to erect them for optimal usage.

Setting Bluetooth Controls
The D01 Ring allows you to control various functions using Bluetooth commands. Here are the available controls:

• Q1. Can the ring be connected to a phone simultaneously with a Bluetooth headset or speaker?
  A: Yes, the ring can be connected and used together with a Bluetooth headset or speaker.

• Q2. How to take a photo and video with the Ring remote control?
  A: In Short Video Mode, you can take photos and videos using the D01 Ring. Press and hold the volume + or volume – button for 2 seconds to capture a photo or video. Please refer to page 6 for more details.

Power On
Press the middle button for 1 second, and the red and blue lights flash alternately

Power Off

• Press and hold the middle button for 5 seconds and the red light is on, or put it in the charging case.
• Automatic power off after 5 minutes without connection.
• Automatic power off after 30 minutes without operation.

Instructions for First Use
Connecting to Phone/ Tablet/ iPad: Press and hold the middle button of the ring for 1 second, the red and blue lights flash alternately> Turn on the mobile phone Bluetooth> Search for Bluetooth device “D01”> Click to connect device> Complete Bluetooth connection, you can use it in the Short Video Mode. (Tablet/iPad erected for use)

Note:
When using Android and HarmonyOS phones, it can be used by connecting to Bluetooth. In addition to connecting to Bluetooth for iPhone and iPad, please refer to the instructions.

When the ring is turned on again, it automatically connects to the last device.

Charging

Low Power Warning:
The red light of the ring flashes slowly, and the blue light of the charging case flashes slowly, indicating low power.

Note for iPhone and iPad User

1. First make sure that the system software (iOS) of the iPhone or iPad is higher than 14.8;
2. The AssistiveTouch function must be turned on, as shown in the figures below;
3. If the previous items 1 and 2 have been completed, but the video still cannot slide up and down normally or can only be paused by pressing the button, please turn off the iPhone or iPad and turn it on again;
4. After AssistiveTouch is turned on, 2 dots will appear, the large one can be dragged, and the small one cannot be dragged. When the video is not swiped, it will disappear after 30 seconds. Android and HarmonyOS phones donot have these two dots.

• Q1. Can the ring be connected to a phone simultaneously with a Bluetooth headset or speaker?
  A: Yes, they can be connected and used together.

• Q2. How to take photos and videos with the Ring remote control phone?
  A: In short video mode, only the original camera and some beauty cameras are supported for taking photos and videos. Press and hold the “volume +” or “volume -” for 2 seconds to take a photo or video. In the short video Apps, the function of adjusting background music volume conflicts with the remote control of the shutter key, such as TikTok, so taking photos and videos is not supported. To take photos and videos in the short video Apps, you can choose our D07 series products.

• Q3. About e-books page turning.
  A: It supports page turning in most e-book apps. Double-click the “Volume+” or “Volume-” button to turn pages left or right. If page turning still doesn’t work, you need to select “Simulation” in the e-book reading interface settings.

• Q4. Can it be used with a Kindle e-reader?
  A: It is not applicable to Kindle e-readers, but it is applicable to the Kindle app. Our D07 series products are suitable for Kindle e-readers.

• Q5. Can it be used as a foldable screen phone?
  A: It can be used. Foldable screen phones generally require the phone to be unfolded and upright for use. If it still cannot be used, please restart the phone again.

• Q6. What if the iPhone or iPad can’t swipe up and down normally or can only pause the video after turning on the touch and restarting?
  A: First, please press the middle button of the ring to confirm whether the cursor (small black dot) deviates from the default position. The default position is indicated by the arrow “Default position of cursor point” in the figure below, and the upper third of the screen is centred. If the position deviates too far, it may lead to the above problems. The solution is to slightly drag the “Tracking Sensitivity Slider” in the following figure to the left or right. Press the middle button of the ring to confirm every adjustment until the cursor (small black dot) reaches the default position or nearby, and make sure that the “Perform Touch Gestures” in the following figure is turned on, and you can swipe the video up and down.
