Product Usage Instructions
CROS/BiCROS Solution
To connect the ReSound Nexia CROS Transmitter and control the balance
relative to the hearing aid/receiver side, follow these steps:
- Ensure the ReSound Nexia CROS Transmitter is paired with the hearing aid/receiver.
- Access the control settings on the hearing aid/receiver.
- Adjust the balance between the CROS Transmitter and the hearing aid/receiver to achieve the desired level.
TapControl Feature
The TapControl feature allows patients to answer calls by double-tapping the
top of the hearing aid or their ear. To enable TapControl:
- Access the hearing aid settings menu.
- Find the TapControl option and enable it.
- Once enabled, double-tapping the top of the hearing aid or the ear will stream the call directly to the hearing aids.
Hear in Noise Program
The Hear in Noise program replaces Front Focus, Ultra Focus, and Restaurant
programs. To use the Hear in Noise program:
- Access the listening program settings on the ReSound hearing aids.
- Select the Hear in Noise program for improved hearing in noisy environments.
Improved AutoREM
The improved AutoREM feature helps guide you to the right profile for your
patient’s first fit. To utilize AutoREM:
- Access the fitting settings in ReSound Smart Fit.
- Follow the UI prompts to guide you to the suitable profile for a great first fit.
New Fine-Tuning Options
The new fine-tuning options in ReSound Smart Fit allow you to easily adjust gain and target specific input levels. To use the new fine-tuning options:
- Access the fine-tuning settings in ReSound Smart Fit.
- Select the desired input (soft or loud) for recording or observation purposes.
- Choose to target match or quickly run based on your needs and patient tolerance.
- Adjust the curves to achieve accurate low and high-intensity results.
Improved In-Situ Fitting
The improved In-Situ Fitting process flow provides a more seamless and easy
navigation experience. To perform In-Situ Fitting:
- Access the fitting settings in ReSound Smart Fit.
- Follow the streamlined process flow with fewer clicks to complete the testing.
Over the Air (OTA) Firmware Updates
The Over the Air (OTA) functionality allows the Smart Fit fitting software
to download the latest version of hearing aid firmware to the device. To
update patients’ hearing aids:
- Ensure the Smart Fit fitting software is connected to the internet.
- Access the firmware update section in Smart Fit.
- Select the hearing aids that require an update.
- Download and install the latest firmware version without updating the Smart Fit software.
