Please note that this is a kindling splitter NOT a large log splitter.
Intended use is to efficiently create kindling wood in order to start a fire.
Pieces of wood should not exceed 15 inches in length and 6 inches in diameter for optimal use. Larger pieces may wedge inside of the splitter. -
Always wear proper eye and hand protection before using this kindling splitter.

Optional BUT recommend step for safe use. Anchor kindling splitter to level sturdy surface using two mounting holes on base.
Be sure splitter is firmly secured before using. -
Place log within the safety ring and center it on the splitting wedge.

Carefully strike log with included 3lbs sledge hammer.
Continue to strike until log is driven down far enough to split. -
Repeat steps 4 and 5 with piece of wood until desired kindling size is reached.

Enjoy perfectly split kindling for any fire applications.
