NAIL PREPARATION AND SANITIZING
- Begin every nail service by cleansing and sanitizing clients’ hands and nails. Make sure to follow your State Boards’ specific sanitation requirements.
- Use your favorite sanitizable stainless steel tool gently push back the cuticle and completely remove the pterygium. Remove the surface shine with your favourite 100-grit file and remove all dust.
- Apply 2 – 3 light coats of Premium Primer, allowing each coat to dry to a chalky white. Apply acrylic on the last coat of wet Premium Primer. For customers who may be sensitive to primer, apply a thin layer of Tri-Bond and let dry 20 seconds. A slightly

| Review nail preparation procedures. The pterygium must be removed and the nail plate properly etched.
Typically use a 1:1 ratio. Use correct size ball, liquid should be fully absorbed by the powder.
Use 2-3 light coats of Premium Primer. Apply two coats and allow each coat to dry to a chalky white. Apply acrylic to the last coat of Premium Primer while it is still wet.
SCULPTURED TECHNIQUE
- Follow Premium’s Nail Preparation and Sanitizing steps before beginning. Use your favourite open ferrule Sculpting Brush and a deep well-dappen dish. This will ensure proper liquid retention, ratio and product consistency.
- Apply nail forms to all of clients fingers. Dip brush into either SPF Original Blue or Elite Revolution Nail Sculpting Liquid, wipe one side and pick up a ball of American White, Extreme French White or Titanium Super White Powder.
- Place ball on form, press product into corners and follow the natural shape of the free edge. (See Application Note)
- Using the point of your brush, create a clean, sharp smile line.
- Place a pink ball flush to the cuticle and move excess product toward the stress area. Determine the size of the pink stress ball. You may apply Clear Acrylic Powder for reinforcement.
- As the product cures, set the C curve to increase the durability and appearance of the nails.
- Use your favorite 150-grit zebra file to complete the nail quickly and effortlessly.
- Use your favourite buffer to buff out any scratches or imperfections. Dust off the nail. If you have your client wash their hands, do not use soap as it will interact with the top coat.
- Apply one coat of Premium Shine or Seal-N-Shine and cure in a UV lamp for 90 seconds, no wiping or cleansing is required. Your client will enjoy a super high gloss shine that lasts, while also protecting and sealing the acrylic nail. Apply your favorite replenishing oil to your client’s cuticles.

Application varies depending on which nail sculpting liquid formula you are
using. SPF Original Blue is a technician-controlled liquid using a press-on
application. Elite Revolution has a flow and is a pat-and-stroke application.
MAINTENANCE FILLS
- This nail needs a Maintenance Fill. Follow Premium’s Nail Preparation and Sanitizing steps before beginning. Use your favorite 100 grit file to blend the existing acrylic flush to the natural nail bed.
- Use a professional nail drill to make a trench over the grown-out free edge. Follow your state regulations for use of nail drills or electric files.
- On the exposed natural nail only, apply 2 – 3 light coats of Premium Primer, allowing each coat to dry to a chalky white. Apply acrylic on the last coat of wet Primer. For customers who may be sensitive to primer, apply a thin layer of Tri-Bond and let dry 20 seconds. A slightly tacky layer will remain, continue nail service.
- Place a ball of American White, Extreme French White or Titanium Super White Powder at the free edge and create a new smile line. (See Application Note)
- Apply a small ball of Premium Pink Powder at the cuticle and another at the stress area for reinforcement. You may also want to use a small ball
- of Premium Ultra Pink Powder to brighten existing pink product. Use your favorite 150 grit zebra file to complete the nail quickly and effortlessly.
- Use your favorite buffer to buff out any scratches or imperfections. Dust off nail. If you have your client wash their hands, do not use soap as it will interact with top coat.
- Apply one coat of Premium Shine or Seal-N-Shine and cure in a UV lamp for 90 seconds, no wiping or cleansing is required. Your client will enjoy a super high gloss shine that lasts, while also protecting and sealing the acrylic nail. Apply your favorite replenishing oil to your clients cuticles.

TIP UNDERLAY TECHNIQUE
- Follow Premium’s Nail Preparation and Sanitizing steps before beginning. Use your favorite open ferrule Sculpting Brush and a deep well dappen dish. This will ensure proper liquid retention, ratio and product consistency.
- Size clients with your favourite tips. Overlay the entire nail with a ball of Premium Pink or Clear Acrylic Powder. Place the ball flush to the natural nail at the cuticle area, pressing the rest of the acrylic toward the free edge. The acrylic should be 1/8” thick. (See Application Note)
- Immediately apply the nail tip to the acrylic on the free edge by either rocking tip into place or setting it straight down. Hold 15 to 30 seconds until secured.
- Cut tips to the requested length.
- To overlay, place a ball of Premium Clear Acrylic starting at the stress area. Press excess product toward the stress area and over the entire tip. Smooth the surface.
- As the product cures, set the C curve to increase the durability and appearance of the nails.
- Use your favorite 150 grit zebra file to complete the nail quickly and effortlessly.
- Use your favorite buffer to buff out any scratches or imperfections. Dust off nail. If you have your client wash their hands, do not use soap as it will interact with top coat.

ELITE DESIGN DIP APPLICATION TECHNIQUES
- Sanitize and prep nails by gently pushing back and removing excess cuticles. Using a buffer, remove the shine from the nail plate. Make sure to follow your State Board Sanitation Requirements.
- Dust off nail plate and cleanse with 90% alcohol (use a lint-free wipe.)
- Apply one thin coat of ELITEDESIGN Gel Base, working from cuticle to free edge. Cover/seal the free edge of the nail. Avoid contact with or keep away from cuticles and sidewalls.
- Using the Perfect Smile Tray, apply the ELITEDESIGN Powder by using the method of your choice: dip, pour or sprinkle (be sure to follow your State Board requirements). Tap the finger and dust off to remove excess powder. Repeat and move to the next finger.
- When you complete one hand, apply a thin coat of ELITEDESIGN Activating Dryer by gently sliding the brush over the entire nail (do not apply any pressure to avoid hardening of your Activating Dryer brush.)
- To increase the longevity of your products (bottle/brush) clean the necks of bottles with acetone after each use before closing. Restore brushes by soaking in the Brush Rejuvenator for 5-15 minutes when needed. Dry brush before reinserting into original bottle.
- Using a medium grit file, shape the perimeter of the nail. Use a buffer to buff the nail to an even surface.
- Rinse with a sanitized manicure brush and water only to cleanse hands and nails. Dry thoroughly.
- Apply one coat of ELITEDESIGN Activating Dryer and fan dry for 10 seconds. Use a paper towel to wipe nails dry.
- BE SURE NAILS ARE THOROUGHLY DRY prior to applying two coats of Gel Top Shine. Apply one coat at a time and fan dry for 2 minutes. (Be sure to apply on free edge.) For a Superior Shine use Premium Shine!
- Apply Cuticle Nourishing Oil and massage into cuticles and skin.
HELPFUL HINTS
- Proper preparation of the natural nail ensures the best application possible.
- Before beginning your client’s artistic service, pour the needed amount of the ELITEDESIGN Powders into the Perfect Smile Tray. The Perfect Smile Tray is designed to accommodate any type of application.
- It is very important NOT to dip your client’s fingers directly into the powder jars! This avoids contamination of your ELITEDESIGN Powders.
- coating. You may continue to apply multiple coats until the desired colour is achieved. To protect the colour, a third coat of ELITEDESIGN Clear Powder may be applied.
- To ensure the life of your Gel Base and Gel Top Shine, make sure you clean the neck of the bottle with a lint-free wipe and acetone.
- Use the Brush Rejuvenator to avoid hardening of the Gel Base, Gel Top Shine and Activating Dryer brushes. Dry well before use. If cap on Gel Base or Gel Top Shine does not open – place in a towel warmer for 5-15 minutes. This may loosen product on the neck of the bottle.
- Use the ELITEDESIGN Clear Powder as a “natural set” powder to even and correct damaged or irregular nail beds before service.
- Free replacement brushes are available from your local distributor.
- For easy and fast removal use pure acetone and cotton, wrap in foil and when softened use an orange wood stick to peel off.
- Always follow your State Board requirements when providing service to your customers.
