GETTING TO KNOW YOUR BARISTA KETTLE

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

IMPORTANT: Please read, understand, and comply with all of the instructions provided in this manual before using the device. Failure fo comply with the instructions given in this manual or using the device not mentioned in this manual may cause in serious personal injury or equipment damage.
General Safety

  • DO NOT touch the base or the steel parts of the kettle while the appliance is operating or immediately after operation. These components will be hot and may cause burns or other personal injuries.
  • DO NOT fill the kettle above the “MAXline. Doing this may cause the water to boil over during operation and may result in scalding. Minimum amount of water needed for boiling is 0.5 L, too little water wil result in the kettle switching off before the water has boiled.
  • ALWAYS handle with care when there is hot water inside the kettle.Failure fo do so may result in burns or scalding
  • Use the appliance with the specified voltage 120V 60Hz.
  • DO NOT allow children to use or play with this appliance. Always keep this kettle and its components out of reach from children.
  • DO NOT use the kettle if the kettle is malfunctioning, if it is broken or chipped, o if the power cord or plug is damaged in any way. Stop using and contact with Customer Support immediately.(page 11)
  • ALWAYS unplug the kettle when it is not being used. This will prevent moisture from causing a short circuit in the power base while it is plugged in.
  • This appliance is for indoor use ONLY.

Use & Care

  • ALWAYS place the kettle on a dry, flat surface.
  • DO NOT place the kettle on or near heat sources such as stove tops, ovens, and efc.
  • DO NOT turn on the kettle while the lid is open.
  • DO NOT cover the opening of the kettle while it is operating. Doing so may result in damage to the kettle.
  • ALWAYS empty and clean the kettle after using each fime. If necessary, descale the kettle by following the instructions in Descaling the Kettle (page 10)
  • DO NOT attempt to repair the kettle or its parts by yourself or through other third-party appliances when it is broken. Doing so may result in further damage or personal injury and will void your warranty.
  • DO NOT dispose of this kettle in regular household waste.
  • The kettle will be automatically shut off in 10 minutes once the setting program is completed.
  • Ifthe kettle has been taken away from the base, the system will be keeping the in-progress setting for 10 minufes.

NOTE:
The higher the altitude, the lower the boiling point of water.
At normal altitudes, water boils at 212F°; in highland areas, the normal boiling point is below 212F°.

BEFORE FIRST USE

  1. Remove and safely discard any packaging material or promotional labels attached fo your kettle.
  2. It is recommended that filling the kettle fo the maximum level with cold water before your first using, bring to the boil by selecting the BOIL 212 °F, then discard the water.
  3. Your kettle will only operate when posifioned on the power base.

Water Test
Perform the Water Test before using your kettle fo make sure it’s working properly. Do not drink the water that is boiled during this initial test.

USING YOUR BARISTA KETTLE

  1. Fill kettle with desired amount of water.
  2. Put the lid back on and ensure spout is not close fo and/or facing a wall or cabinet.
  3. Select desired temperture.
  4. Press the STARTICANCEL to start.
  5. Once desired temperature is reached, the machine will beep.
  6. Happy brewing!

NOTE:
Add at least V2 cup / 118 mL of filtered water to the kettle. Do not fill above the “MAX” line. Wipe any water from the outside of the keftle and the base.

BASIC OPERATION

  1. To turn on, press START|CANCEL button.
  2. To turn off, press and hold the button for 3 seconds.

NOTE:

  1. When the power is on, the buzzer will ring a sound, followed by the full-screen LCD display.
  2. Ifthere’s no operation for 10 minutes under the full-screen display, the screen will display *—-” (standby mode). Push any button (including the rotary knob) to activate the full-screen mode.
  3. If there’s no operation under standby mode (screen displays “—-“) for 30 minutes, the LCD screen will turn off

FEATURED FUNCTION

F°/ C° Setting
Choose your preferred temperature sefting of Fahrenheit or Celsius by pressing the F°/ C° button on the base. 2 Hours HOLD Mode
After turning on, follow the instructions below to complete the HOLD setting

  1. Select Temperature: Rotate START CANCEL button to select your desired temperature
  2. Set HOLD Mode: Press the HOLD button fo set the HOLD mode. The HOLD button will be light on at the same time.(You will see 02:00 and HOLD icon are displayed on the screen.)
  3. Cancel the HOLD Mode: The HOLD mode will be automatically finished in 2 hours.Or you can stop the hold function by pressing the HOLD button. (When the mode has finished or cancelled, the HOLD button light will be off).

NOTE:

  1. For safety concern, Boil Mode / 206°F-212°F Temperature are not applicable for HOLD mode.
  2. When the set temperature is lower than the actual temperature, the keep warm mode will start working once the actual temp has dropped fo the set temp.

Mute Mode

  1. Press and hold the F°/ C*”button for 3 seconds, will appear on the screen. There won’t be beep sound and key fone anymore while mute mode is on.
  2. Press and hold the * F?/ C°” button for 3 seconds fo quit Mute mode . will be disappeared from the screen.

Memory Mode
The kettle features an internal “memory” that lets you leave the kettle off the base for up to 5 minutes without it going into memory mode. When returned to the base, it will restart the heating and/or HOLD cycles right where they left off.
Sleep Mode
If the unit is not in use for 10 minutes, it will revert fo sleep mode. The heater and display will be off, but your last selections will remain in the unit’s memory.
Brew Stopwatch Mode
The kettle comes with a built-in Brew Stopwatch fo keep frack of your brew fime.

  1. To start the Stopwatch, hold the Hold button for 3 seconds.
  2. The Stopwatch will start after a 3 seconds countdown
  3. To turn off the Stopwatch, press the Hold button for 3 seconds.

OPTIMAL BREW TEMPERATURES

Follow our brew chart below to use the opfimal brew temperatures for coffee, tea, and other hot drinks. Please note, since tea has a wide range of types, the tea steeping temperatures below are basic guidelines. If your tea comes with brew instructions, we recommend following their instructions.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

General cleaning
We recommend cleaning the kettle after using each time.

  1. Unplug the power base from the electrical outlet.
  2. Allow the kettle to completely cool down, then pour out any remaining water.
  3. Wash the kettle with warm, soapy water. Dry it thoroughly with a soft, clean towel.

Descaling the Kettle
You should descale the keftle at least once a week if you use it frequently. Descaling removes any mineral deposits that have built up inside the kettle. Always descale the kettle after it has been stored for long periods of fime and before storing it.

  1. Fill the kettle with 1 cup of distilled vinegar or lemon juice and 2 cups of water (1:2 ratio),
  2. Boil the mixiure, then let it soak in the kettle for 2 hours.
  3. Pour out the solution, then wipe the limescale away with a cloth or nonabrasive sponge.
  4. Rinse the kettle with clean water, and dry with a soft cloth.
  5. Repeat as needed
  6. Note: It’s normal if your kettle exposes spot or rust on the stainless steel bottom after the first use if the water quality in your area s so hard.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Easy solution
Kettle will not switch”ON” 1. Check the power plug if is securely inserted

into the outlet.
2. Insert the power plug into an independent outlet.
3. Insert the power plug into a different outlet.
4. Reset the circuit breaker if necessary.
5. For additional safety, the kettle is fitted with a thermal cut out. In the event of severe overheating, the kettle will be automatically shut down to prevent furthe damage. If this occurs,please call INTASTING Consumer Support.
The kettle will not work| Check the kettle if is securely positioned on the Power Base.
No display on the screen| 1.The kettle goes into sleep mode if not used for 5 minutes. When in sleep mode, the LCD screen will cease to illuminate.
2. To re-activate the kettle out of sleep mode, Press STARTICANCEL button on the Power Base.
Display “—°F”| Lift the kettle back up and place it horizontally on the power base
Display “ADD”| When the kettle is short of water,
“Add” will be displayed.
Lift the kettle, put the kettle back after adding water, short press the START/CANCEL button to release the display of “ADD” and start heating;

Important! Please Read it Carefully Before Using it

  • Theinner pot of this electric kettle is all made of food-grade 304 stainless steel, and won’t be rusted. It’s BPA-free.
  • Before using the new electric kettle, it is suggested to clean it by boiling it 3 times.
  • You should descale the kettle at least once a week if you use it frequently.
  • Always descale the kettle after it has been stored for long periods of time and before storing it.
  • Please don’t exceed the water level line for safety precautions; Otherwise, the water will overflow and the automatic switch will be broken.

Q: Why does my kettle have white or brown spots?

A: After the water is boiled, the minerals (calcium and magnesium ions) in the water will precipitate on the bottom of the kettle, forming limescale. The water quality in different regions is different, and the color of the limescale produced is also different, some are white, and some are yellow and brown.

Q: How to keep the kettle clean?

A: You should descale your kettle at least weekly to remove mineral deposits from the water.

Q: How to remove the limescale scientifically?

A: Step 1: Pour 1cup of vinegar or lemon juice and 2 cups of water (1:2 ratio) into your kettle. Step 2: Bring the mixture to a boil and leave it to soak in the kettle for 2 hours. Step 3: Pour out the mixture and wipe off the limescale with a cloth. Step 4 : Rinse off the kettle with clean water and wipe dry. Repeat the above steps as appropriate.

Q: Why is it showing --°F?

A: Lift the kettle or the kettle is not placed properly it will display --°F please put the kettle well, the display will be released.

Q: Why is ADD displayed?

A: When the kettle is short of water, “Add” will be displayed. After adding water, short press the START/CANCEL button to cancel.

Q: Why is E*(0/1/2/3/4) displayed?

A: If the circuit is faulty, E (0/1/2/3/4) will be displayed, please contact customer service.
