Hot Tub Installation

The hot tub must be installed on a solid, flat surface. If installed on a sloped surface, water may not drain completely. Suitable base options include concrete screed, tightly packed gravel, or hard wooden flooring.

During installation, determine the place to drain the water. It is recommended to drain the water into a sewer, rainwater gutter, or drainage ditch.

If installing a hot tub with a hot water stove next to a building, ensure that the chimney is located at a safe distance from the roof structure. Check the distance both horizontally and vertically to avoid fire hazards.

Regular maintenance is essential for optimal performance and longevity of the hot tub. Follow the guidelines below:

  1. Keep the hot tub clean by regularly removing debris and dirt.
  2. Monitor and maintain the water chemistry by testing and adjusting the pH, sanitizer levels, and alkalinity as recommended by the manufacturer.

  • Do not leave water in the hot tub for a long time, the recommended interval for draining water from the hot tub is after each use;
  • Avoid contact of the surface of the bowl with strong acids and alkalis, open flame, etc.;
  • To avoid damage to the bowl, it is not recommended to hit the surface of the bowl with hard ob-jects, place hard objects on the surface of the hot tub, especially those with sharp edges;
  • To clean the bowl, do not use metal brushes and scrapers or detergents containing abrasive parti-cles. Use soft sponges or cloths and liquid, non-aggressive detergents;
  • To prevent the appearance of rusty streaks on the walls of the hot tub, rinse the bowl with water and wipe it dry with a clean, dry linen cloth (use of woolen cloth is not recommended) after each use;
  • Minor scratches can be removed with fine sandpaper. Then treat the damaged area with a polish-ing paste used when painting cars to restore the shine of the bowl;
  • Regular cleaning and timely maintenance of the product are important in regards of hygiene, as well as the durability of the product.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE OF HEATED WATER TUBS

  • Before filling the product with water, check if the water drain hole is closed;
  • For correct operation of water heating and hydromassage system (if available), the water level must be higher than the level of the uppermost nozzles;
  • Remember that heating equipment is a source of increased danger. It is forbidden to allow minors to operate the stoves;
  • You can light up the stove ONLY, if there is water in it and in the hot tub. Water will enter the stove if there is water in the hot tub. Before firing up the stove, the hot tub must always be filled with water;
  • When firing up the stove, make sure that there is air flow into the firebox. Depending on the stove model, the air intake is carried out through a loosely closed door, damper or ash box. When the wood is sufficiently hot, depending on the model of the stove, the air flow into the firebox can be reduced by completely closing the door, damper by 90% or ash box. Heat the stove with hardwood. Do not use any kindling agents when firing up the stove, as they leave carbon deposits, which im-pairs heat transfer (an alcohol tablet is allowed). Fold the firewood neatly to accommodate the largest amount of firewood;
  • During the firing of the stove, condensation may appear on the walls of the stove, which can drip off. As the stove and water in the hot tub warm up, forming of condensation will stop.
  • In winter, if there is a threat of water freezing in the water supply and intake nozzles, as well as in the branch pipes, make sure that the water can circulate freely;
  • Be sure to drain the water from the stove after using in freezing temperatures, otherwise the stove may become unusable. It is forbidden to drain water from the hot tub unless the fire in the stove has completely extinguished and the ash has cooled down;
  • Ensure that the chimney does not rest against the structure of the house to avoid a fire.
  • Do not forget about using a thermal cover when heating water, otherwise the heating time will in-crease up to two times.
  • Control the temperature of the water leaving the stove so that it does not boil. If the water starts to boil, weaken the firing mode by reducing the air supply through the damper and do not throw up firewood.
  •  Regularly clean ash from the stove;
  • Recommended temperature of bathing water:
    0°—15°С – tonic, cold training;
    37°—40°С – relaxing, Russian bath effect, warming, deep cleansing.
