WORKING PRINCIPLE & MAIN STRUCTURE (Fig.1)

The motor drives the worm gear, which, in turn, powers the driven gear. The driven gear engageswith the rack, ensuring smooth gate movement. The motor’s energy is efficiently transferredtothesocket through the worm and driven gear. When the clutch is engaged, both gears rotateintandem, providing effortless electrical control for opening and closing the gate.

MANUAL OPERATION (Fig.2)

In case of a power failure, use the manual release key to open or close the gatemanuallyfollowing these steps:

  • Insert the release key in the lock.
  • Turn the key 90° clockwise to unlock.
  • Open or close the gate manually.

Note: If the gate is obstructed and cannot be opened electrically, manually move the gateafewinches by hand, then use the key to release and open or close the gate manually.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

  1. Pre-Installation Steps

    • Sliding Gate Checking: Ensure that the sliding gate is properly installed, and thegaterail islevel, allowing for smooth manual movement before proceeding with the gateopenerinstallation.
    • Cable Routing: To ensure optimal performance and protect the cables fromdamage, it isessential to bury the motor, power cable, and control cable in separate PVCtubes.
    • Concrete Foundation: For stable operation, use a concrete pad measuring approximately16 x 10 x 8 inches deep to support the base unit of the gate operator. Place theprovidedmetal mounting base (Fig.4) on the pad for proper installation.

  2. Main Engine Installation (Fig.5)
    a. Remove the “L” plates from the gate opener. Place the metal base⑦on the groundandposition the gate opener onto the metal base, ensuring that the 4 holes are aligned.
    b. Use a marker pen to mark the positions for the 4 holes. Remove the nuts fromtheboltsandsecurely install the bolts⑥ into the ground.
    c. Place the gate opener onto the bolts protruding from the ground. Attach the metal plates⑤tothe two sides of the opener, and tighten the nuts to secure the opener base.
    d. Reattach the “L” plate covers to the two sides of the opener.

    Important Notice for Main Engine Installation

    • Before installing the main engine, remove the cover and store the relevant fasteners securely.
    • Prepare a power supply cable with a minimum of 3 cores to connect the mounting platetothemain engine. Adjust the cable length as needed for installation.
    • Unlock the main engine before installation by inserting the manual key and openingtheclutchuntil it rotates 90° clockwise (Fig.2). Then, turn the output gear to ensure smooth rotation.
  3. Rack Installation (Fig.6)
    a. Put the rack on the gear of the machine to ensure the gear teeth and rack are fully engaged.
    b. Confirm the position of the rack on the gate using a level and ensure it is horizontallyaligned. The space between the rack and gear should be approximately 1-2mmfor proper alignment.
    c. Manually move the gate to check if the rack is correctly resting on the gear teeth.
    d. Once aligned, weld the first mounting nut⑫ onto the gate at the appropriate position.
    e. Double-check the alignment again before welding the second nut onto the gate.
    f. Position the next rack element adjacent to the previous one and repeat the processforalignment and welding of the nuts.
    g. Continue this process until the entire gate is fully covered with the racks.

    Important Notice for Racks Installation (Fig.7)

    • Avoid putting excessive weight on the gear by distributing the gate’s weight evenly alongtheentire length of the rack.

    • Ensure that the gate rail is perfectly LEVEL to ensure smooth operation of the gateopener.

    • DO NOT weld the rack directly onto the gate.

    • DO NOT weld the nuts with the rack.

    • DO NOT weld the racks together; each rack should be installed individually.

    • ONLY weld the nuts onto the gate to secure the racks in place effectively.

    • Maintain a 1-2mm distance between the rack and the gear of the gate opener.

      WARNING

    • To ensure safety, install safety stop blocks on both ends of the rail to prevent thegatefromrunning out of the rail. Before installing the main engine, ensure that the safety stopblocksare in place and have the function of preventing the gate from running out of the rail.

    • Please make sure that the main engine and its components have good mechanical properties, and the gate can be operated flexibly when manually moved before installation.

    • Please note that for this product, one control can only drive one main engine; usingonecontrol for multiple main engines may damage the control system.

  4. Magnet Placement
    a. Unscrewing the magnet blocks⑨ and then fix them to the metal brackets⑧. Whenthegateis in the CLOSED position, make sure to install the magnet located near thegateopener at the LOWER position. Conversely, the magnet located on the side of thegate, positioned farther from the gate opener, should be placed at the HIGHERposition.
    b. Place the metal brackets⑧ with the magnets on the rack⑪in the desired position. Alignthem with the limit switch module on the gate opener. Note: The limit switch on the motor consists of two parts that must be alignedwiththecorresponding magnets. Align the magnet for OPENING with the UPPERpart of thelimit switch module and the magnet for CLOSING with the LOWER part (Fig.8).

    c. Use the four screws⑩ provided in the set to securely attach the metal bracket tothetwosides of the rack. Tighten the screws firmly to fix the bracket in place securely.
    d. To adjust the magnet position, release the opener clutch, and manually push the slidinggateto a predetermined position.
    Note: The magnets’ position is crucial for proper gate operation. The gate’s singlestrokeshould be within 40ft, and the motor will automatically stop running if it exceeds this distance.
    e. Ensure the magnets are positioned approximately 10-15mm away fromthe limit switch. If themagnets are too far away, the limit switch may fail to work correctly. (Fig.9)

    • If the motor is installed on the RIGHT side to open the gate (viewed frominsidethegate), place the left magnet higher and the right magnet lower. Make sure to turnthe”MotorRotation” on the PCBA to the RIGHT. (Fig.10)

    • If the motor is installed on the LEFT side to open the gate (viewed frominside the gate), placethe left magnet lower and the right magnet higher. Make sure to turn the “Motor Rotation”on the PCBA to the LEFT. (Fig.11)

  5. Electrical Connections
    Before proceeding with any electrical connections, ensure that the power is OFF. Followthestepsbelow to perform the wiring:

    • Choose a well-ventilated environment for installing the gate opener.

    • Avoid exposing the unit to dampness, water immersion, corrosive substances, or heavydust.

    • Ensure there are no strong vibrations or magnetic interference in the vicinity.
      Wiring Connection (Fig.12)

    • Connect the wires strictly according to the markings on the control board terminals. Makesure that the “L” and “N” wires are not reversed.

    • Adhere to safety regulations and separate power wires from control wires.

    • Ground the motor casing for added protection.

    • Refer to the figure below for wiring instructions. DO NOT reverse the ports of “Limit” and“Motor”, as it may cause damage to the controller.

    • Connect “L” and “N” to the power supply of AC110V/60Hz. “L” represents the Live wire, “N”isthe Neutral wire, and “PE” indicates the Grounding wire.

      WARNING

    • An earth leakage circuit breaker must be installed in a location where the gate’s movement isclearly visible. Ensure that the minimum mounting height is 1.5m to prevent accessibilitybychildren.

    • Upon completing the installation, conduct a thorough inspection to assess the mechanical integrity. Confirm the gate’s movement after manual unlocking is smooth and unhindered. Additionally, verify the correct and effective installation of the infrared sensor.
      Auto-Close Function

  * Please be informed that the wiring configuration located under the PCBA (PrintedCircuit Board Assembly) of your gate opener is set to the default factory settings. Thesewiringconnections are carefully designed to ensure the proper functioning and safe operationof your gate opener.
  * We strongly advise against removing or rewiring any of the lines under the PCBA. Alteringthese wiring connections may lead to unexpected issues and malfunctions in the operationof the gate opener. If you encounter any wiring-related concerns or require adjustments, pleaserefer to our user manual for proper guidance or contact our customer support for assistance.

Power Supply Test
a. Before using the gate opener, carefully check the power supply voltage and frequencytoensure they meet the requirements. Verify the grounding is adequate.
b. Connect the gate opener to the power supply and start the unit.
c. Observe the operation of the sliding gate to ensure it functions correctly.
d. If needed, adjust the magnet position until the gate’s opening and closing positions meet yourrequirements.
Over-Heating Protection
The device is equipped with a thermal protector. If it runs continually for an extendedperiodof time, the motor may get hot. When the motor temperature exceeds 234°F, the thermal protectorwill automatically stop it. The motor can be restarted after its temperature drops to a safelevel.
Additional Installation Information
The controller has a power-off automatic memory function. The manufacturer performsadebugging test for limit detection before the products leave the factory. During installation, thegate needs to be pushed to the middle position.

  *  **Infrared Sensor Wiring (Fig.14)**

  2. Remote Control Operation (Fig.11)
    Remote Control Learning
    a. Press and hold the learning key on the main board (PCBA) for 2 seconds until theredindicator light LED1 will be on.
    b. Press and hold any button on the remote control for 1 second to complete the coding. Theindicator LED1 will flash several times to indicate successful learning.
    c. The remote control learning is now complete. You can pair up to 40 remote controls.

    Remote Control Deletion
    a. Press and hold the learning key for 12 seconds. The indicator LED1 will turn on, indicatingthe deletion process has started.
    b. Release the learning key when the indicator LED1 turns off. This indicates that all thematched remote controls have been successfully deleted.
    Duplication of Keypad / Wall Remote / Antenna Remote
    Blütezeit offers various remote controls, including keypad, wall remotes, and antennaremotes. These remotes are duplicators and copy codes from the original 4-key remote control; theydon’t directly learn codes from the gate opener.   • Electrical Safety Check: Periodically inspect and ensure that the operator is correctlyearthed and properly terminated. Regularly check the electrical connections for anysignsof damage, looseness, or moisture. If any issues are detected, they should be addressedpromptly to maintain safe and reliable operation.
  • Lubrication: Regularly grease the wheels and axles of the gate to ensure smooth movement. Before applying grease, always switch off the power and remove the cover to avoidanyaccidents. Proper lubrication reduces friction and prevents wear and tear on themovingparts.
