Product Usage Instructions
Preferred Installation
In a closed system, use either:
- Thermal Expansion Tank
- Pressure Relief Valve
Ensure the following components are included in the installation:
- Cold Water Inlet Valve
- Pipe Insulation
- Union
- Pressure Reducing Valve with Bypass
- Cold Water Inlet
- Temperature and Pressure Relief Valve
- Discharge Line (305mm max in Canada or 150mm max in the U.S.) above drain
- In some jurisdictions, install a vacuum relief in the cold water line.
- Ensure a drain line with a minimum diameter of 19mm (3/4 in.) is installed.
- Hot connection: Anode Rod*
- Cold connection: T&P Valve
- 1/2 gas connection: A, B, F

- Location for optional top-mounted T&P Valve if ordered from the factory.
- Maximum Hydrostatic Working Pressure: 150 PSI.
