Product Usage Instructions

  • Track Width
    • To determine the track width for your curtains, please follow these steps:
    • Measure the width of your window or sliding door using a metal measuring tape.
    • Add 20-30% to the measured width. This will allow the curtains to hang off the glass when open and let maximum sunlight come through.
    • The curtain stack will be around 1/3 of the track width.
  • Curtain Drop
    • To determine the curtain drop for your curtains, please follow these steps:
    • Measure the distance from the top of the track to the bottom of the curtains.
    • If you want the curtain to hang off the floor, subtract 20mm from the measured drop.
    • If you want the curtains to drag on the floor, add 30mm or more to the measured drop.
  • Suggested Sizes Deduction
    • When calculating the track width, please consider the following deductions:
    • Wall to Wall width: Subtract 40mm from the width as the finished track width.
    • Butt (90-degree corner window): Subtract 100mm for the butting track.
    • Floor clearance drop: Subtract 20mm from the drop.
  • Sliding Door or Window Types
    • Depending on the type of sliding door or window, select the appropriate track width:
    • Track width is sliding door or window outer frame.
    • Track width is outer frame plus extra width on each side. Extra width is around 20-30% of sliding door or window width or any desired measurement.
    • Track width is from wall to wall. Please take 40mm as the finished track width.
  • Measurement Options
    • Choose one of the following measurement options:
    • From top of the sliding door or window frame to the floor plus anywhere between top frame to the cornice. You can fit the track around 100-200mm above the top frame, or halfway between the top frame to cornice.
    • From top of the sliding door or window frame to the floor plus the distance under the cornice.
    • From ceiling to floor.
  • FAQ
    • Q: What type of measurement should I use?
    • A: Please use a metal measuring tape to take measurements with millimeters.
    • Q: How do I determine the track width?
    • A: The track width is a personal preference. Measure the width of your window or sliding door and add 20-30% to allow the curtains to hang off the glass when open.
    • Q: How do I determine the curtain drop?
    • A: The curtain drop is also a personal preference. Measure the distance from the top of the track to the bottom of the curtains. Subtract 20mm if you want the curtain hung off the floor, or add 30mm or more if you want the curtains dragged to the floor.
    • Q: Are there any deductions to consider when determining sizes?
    • A: Yes, for wall-to-wall width, subtract 40mm as the finished track width. For the butt (90-degree corner window), subtract 100mm for the butting track. For floor clearance drop, subtract 20mm from the drop.
    • Q: How do I select the track width for different sliding door or window types?
    • A: Depending on the type, you can choose from three options: track width is sliding door or window outer frame, track width is outer frame plus extra width on each side, or track width is from wall to wall (taking 40mm as the finished track width).
    • Q: What are the different measurement options available?
    • A: You can measure from the top of the sliding door or window frame to the floor plus anywhere between the top frame to the cornice, from the top of the sliding door or window frame to the floor plus the distance under the cornice, or from ceiling to floor.

General Information

Please use a metal measuring tape to take measurements with millimeters.

Track Width

  • The width you will enter on the order is the finished track width.
  • Deciding the track width is a personal preference. When deciding the preferable width of your track, we recommend you add 20-30% to the width of your window or sliding door.
  • This will allow the curtains to hang off the glass when the curtain is open and let maximum sunlight come through to the room.
  • The curtain stack is around 1/3 of the track width.

Curtain Drop

  • Deciding the curtains drop is a personal preference too.
  • The curtain drop is from the top of the track to the bottom of the curtains.
  • Please take around 20mm off the floor as an ordering drop if you want the curtain hung off the floor.
  • Please add 30mm or more as an ordering drop if you want curtains dragged to the floor.

Suggested Sizes Deduction

  • Wall to Wall width less than 40mm as finished track width.
  • Butt (90-degree corner window) width less than 100mm for the butting track.
  • Floor clearance drops less than 20mm.

Please select the curtain drop you preferred

  • Some finished flooring or ceilings are not on the same level.
  • There are some factors that you may have to consider when you measure floor-length curtains, for example, the levelness of either the floor or ceiling, which may lead to different heights between the floor and the bottom hem of curtains.
  • Please measure 3 or more points shown in the below pictures to get 3 or more drops from the top of the track to the floor. Select the biggest drop and deduct the measurements you prefer as an ordering drop.
  • Suggested to take around 20mm off the floor as ordering drop. We will take track thickness as the final curtains drop.
