TURF PET FELT
MAINTENANCE +
CLEANING
PET Felt
PET felt is manufactured with 60% recycled material. The process used to
create PET felt often results in a heathered effect where multiple tones are
present. Slight variations in color should be expected when using this
sustainable material.
Dust + Debris Removal
A vacuum or air compressor should be used as needed to remove any dust or
debris that may have accumulated. Nozzel attachment tools for vacuums are
especially useful when cleaning between baffles.
Stain Removal
In instances where a wet spill occurs, blot stain immediately with a clean,
dry cloth. Do not rub paper products such as facial tissue on to the material,
as this could result in paper particulate being rubbed in to the material.
For our wood grains and other UV printed materials a simple solution of soap
and water can be used to remove stains only, chemicals such as bleach and any
type of solvent based products including acetone and isopropanol alcohol will
discolor the ink.
With Hues, our non-printed material, more severe instances, household bleach
is effective at removing stains. Due to the dyeing process of the fibers, PET
felt is able to retain its color fastness when cleand with bleach.
Material should air-dry – no heat should be used to speed the drying process.
Cleaning
lf surfaces are dirty, they should be cleaned using a detergent or soap and water prior to disinfection.
Disinfecting
For disinfection, most common EPA-registered household disinfectants should be effective. This does not apply to UV-printed material including our wood grains.

Additionally, diluted household bleach solutions (at least IJOOOppm sodium hypochlorite) can be sprayed on
-
Prepare a bleach solution by mixing 5 tablespoons (1/3rd cup) bleach per gallon of water
