1. The unlocking function includes:fingerprint unlocking, password unlocking key unlocking, and Bluetooth APP unlocking.

Ⅴ. Product function area

1. Exterior Knob: outdoor rotary unlocking.
2. Interior Knob: indoor rotary unlocking.
3. Type-C emergency temporary power interface: when the product is at low voltage, the charger or power bank can be temporarily unlocked (Attention: It cannot be used for charging,but only for temporary power supply).
4. Set Button:Reset/Passage Mode/Privacy Mode.
5. Fingerprint identification area: use pre-set fingerprints foridentification and unlocking, with LED indicating signal prompt light.
6. Lock cylinder: use a mechanical key for unlocking.
7. Battery cover: open the battery cover to load the batteries or replace the old ones.
8. Key pad: use digital code to unlock (The arrow key means to return to pre vions step, the”√”key means to confirm the operation,the intial password is 012345√).

1. Install the Latch: Attention: the direction of the Latch and the direction of the door opening. The chart below shows the right inner opening
2. Remove the battery cover

4. Install the Interior Knob
5. Install the batteries

7. Install the Strike Plate

Ⅷ. Operating instructions

1. Download and install the app named “Tuya Smart”in the App Store.

2. Register and log in with your phone number.

3. Press the “Tuya Smart” interface to add a device. Find the “Door Lock Bluetooth” in the directory of “Camera/Lock”, click on it, then touch Fingerprint identification area to activate the Bluetooth. After the app searches for the Bluetooth device, click (Add) → click (+ Icon) to connect, and follow the app prompts to complete the addition and use it.
   (Attention: After adding a Bluetooth device, the lock end automatically cancels the experience mode).

4.  Add administrator fingerprint and administrator password (to be operated next to the lock); Member management → click on me (fingerprint icon or password icon) → click (add) → (operate according to the prompts displayed on the phone), after the addition is successful, the fingerprint and password can be unlocked.

5. Add ordinary user fingerprints and passwords (to be operated next to the lock);Member management → click (+ icon) → click (add member) → enter the name → enter the account number (you don’t need to unlock the phone, this item can be left blank) → select ordinary members for family roles → click (save) → click XXXX’s (fingerprint icon or password icon) → click (add) → (operate according to the prompts displayed on the mobile phone), after the addition is successful, the fingerprint or password can be unlocked.

6. Delete fingerprints and passwords (to be operated next to the lock);Member management → click XXXX (fingerprint or password icon) → click (fingerprint to be deleted) → (operate according to the prompts displayed on the phone), after the deletion is successful, the fingerprint cannot be unlocked.
   Note: An administrator’s fingerprint or password should be kept on the lock end.

7. Temporary password (to be operated next to the lock); Temporary password → password XXXXXXXX (8-10-digit password) on the mobile phone → effective time → expiration time → password name → save → enter XXXXXXXX# password at the lock end to unlock, record → (delete, modify, rename according to the display on the mobile phone operate.

8. Remote unlocking
   Settings → Click Remote unlocking (the open icon). Attention:
   Remote unlocking is only possible when connecting to the gateway.

9. Automatically locking
   (1). Passage Mode/Privacy Mode Settings of the APP Settings ->Automatically locking(the icon is on), and the main interface of the APP (the unlocking icon is on) is Passage Mode, and it can only be automatically locked after the delay time has passed; Automatically locking (the icon is off), and the main interface of the APP (icon reversed lock closed) is Privacy Mode.In Passage Mode, it will automatically cancel the Passage Mode mode after the recorded fingerprint is unlocking.

10. Volume of the lock:
    Navigation is mute: Turn off buzzer navigation. Navigation volume is normal: Turn on the buzzer navigation.

11. Do Not Disturb Mode
    Settings ->Do Not Disturb Mode ->Click (On) -> Time Settings (set it according to your own schedule). Within the set time, ordinary users’ fingerprints cannot be used to unlock it, only the administrator’s fingerprints are available, but the ordinary member/administrator can use their Bluetooth of their phones to unlock it.
    Attention: Follow the prompts on the mobile App interface for other operations Set the button to set .Passage Mode/Privacy Mode:

    1. Click the setting button once and verify that the registered fingerprint motor rotates (unlocked state). At this time, the lock is Passage Mode:

Ⅸ. Other instructions

1. Add fingerprint: successfully connected (fingerprint headlights light up in blue);

2. Fingerprints, password mobile App unlocking Succeeded (buzzer beeps once, and the fingerprint headlights flash in green).
   Failed (the buzzer beeps twice, and the fingerprint headlight flashes in red. APP fails to unlock without any prompt at the lock end).

3. Low battery: After successful unlocking with the fingerprint password and mobile App ((buzzer beeps once, and the fingerprint head flashes in green and then in red).

4. Passage Mode/Privacy Mode setting: Click the setting key once to set it to Passage Mode (buzzer beeps once, and the fingerprint head lights up in blue indicating verifying the fingerprint). After successful verification (buzzer beeps twice), click the setting key again to set it to Privacy Mode (buzzer beeps once).

5. Any fingerprint in the factory state can be used to unlock it (referred to as experience mode), and the experience mode will automatically be canceled when the phone is connected to the lock.

6. Press and hold the reset key for 8 seconds (buzzer emits along beep, and the fingerprint head lights up in green to indicate successful reset).

1. exterior knob installation: The exterior knob pull bolt should pass through a circular hole with a distance of 41 from the center of the lock tongue, which cannot be unlocked inother directions;
2. Completed product installation: After installation, verify that the front and back balls rotate and unlock smoothly to prevent jamming;
3. Record the fingerprints: When recording fingerprints, it is necessary to record them in multiple directions, so that the fingerprint can be read to unlock it more sensitively;
4. Battery installation: Avoid reverse installation of the positive and negative poles of the battery;
5. Type-C power interface: only for temporary emergency power supply, not for charging;

INSTALLATION OF APP

1.1. Download/Install the APP by mobile/IPAD
Scan the below QR code to download the Tuya Smart APP, or search “Tuya Smart” in the APP Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) to install the APP.

1.2. Register an account
Register an account and endorse the statements, press “Agree” and “Sign Up” on the login screen if no objection as below images.

Note: the first one to connect the Lockset by APP will be recognized as Master User. Such record can be removed by resetting the lock by pressing 8 seconds to the Reset Button.

1.3. Connect the Lockset to your APP
Turn on the Bluetooth of your mobile phone, keep it close to the Lockset (2~7 meters), then touch the Fingerprint reader to motivate the lock, and press the “Add Device” on the APP screen.
1.4. Click “Add” and “+” to connect the Lockset you want to set up as below images

1.5.Press “ ”to rename the Lockset if you want. Now the Lockset is ready for use via APP.

1.6. Control the Lockset via APP
Click and drive the key icon “ ” from left to right “ ” position for unlocking the door as below images.

1.7. Member management and Fingerprints input
Select “Member Management” on the APP screen. To click “Me” and follow the APP instructions to add Fingerprint (similar to add the PIN Codes).

Important Note: proper Fingerprint inputting is critical to access verification, most of the failures of Fingerprint identification are because of improper Fingerprint inputting, please make sure your finger is clean and positioned on Fingerprint reader precisely.

1.8. Setting
Select “Settings” on the APP screen to turn on/off “Auto Lock” or set the time delay, or turn on/off “Do-Not-Disturb”.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION

Remark: normally 4x AAA batteries can support the lock to work for more than 10 months, anyway this is subject to quality of batteries and frequency of lock usage.

POPULAR QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Q1: Does Knob Lock 1P lock work with third-party parts like Latch Assembly?

A1: It is recommended to use the original parts for best performance and premium quality level.

Q2: What notification will I receive when the battery voltage runs to a low level?

A2: After the Fingerprint identification or mobile APP are successfully operated the buzzer beeps once, the Fingerprint reader flashes green and red. When you unlock the device through mobile App, you will receive a notification message for low battery warning.

Q3: How can I unlock Knob Lock 1P lock if battery runs out?

A3: Connect a power bank to the exterior Knob Module with Type-C cable as to activate for emergency access, then use Fingerprint reader or PIN Code for normal access operation. If this is still not working, lease pull out the Exterior Cover Assembly and rotate it to dispose the back-up cylinder for key unlocking.

Q4: If I order 3 locks will all they have the same key code?

A4: The key of each lock is different.

Q5: If accidentally the lock is deleted from mobile app, what should I do?

A5: If you delete the lock in mobile app, while the lock can be still working, please reset the lock and connect it to mobile APP again.

Q6: My Bluetooth won't connect, what should I do?

A6: 1. Upgrade to the latest version of the APP, authorize Bluetooth in the phone settings to allow access to the Tuya App, then try to connect again with the designated distance range. If the connection between Lockset and APP is still not successful, please contact our customer service carl.adrian.xq@gmail.com for technical support.

Q7: What notification will I receive when the battery voltage is low?

A7: When you use Fingerprint or mobile APP to unlock, the LED Indicator will flashes green and red as a warning signal. The remaining power can still provide about 500 times of unlocking even the warning signal happens, please replace battery within couple of days.

Q10: What is the difference between administrator master normal user?

A10: The first user to add the lock by mobile APP will be set as administrator master, other members are normal users. Administrator’s Fingerprint can unlock even in the Privacy mode, but normal user cannot unlock in the Privacy mode.
