Prerequisites 1

Download the Remootio app

To ensure a smoother video experience on your smartphone, it is recommended that your smartphone meets the following specifications:

  • iOS: version 11 or higher.
  • Android: 5.0 or higher, using a device with of Graphics Processing Unit (GPU).

Note: For the best experience, please use the latest version of the Remootio app.

Prerequisites 2

Have at least one Remootio smart gate or garage door opener added in the Remootio app

  • Make sure you have a Remootio smart gate and garage door opener set up in the Remootio opp before you start the installation of the camera.
  • During the camera setup process you have to be able to connect to your Remootio smart gate opener from the Remootio app.

Prerequisites 3

Smartphone connected to the some Wi-Fi network QS the camera

  • Make sure your smartphone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as you would like to connect the camera to.
  • Tips: The camera supports dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi networks, so you can choose the channel with the stronger signal to use. For example, choose your SSID: XXXXX_2.4G or XXXXX_5G.

Prerequisites 4

Remootio OC1 camero powered on

  • Plug the power adapter into the camera, and wait until you hear “Ready for Wi-Fi setup”.
  • Only use the original 12V IA power adopter supplied with the camera. Another power source may only be used if you made sure that the technical parameters of the power adapter you are about to use are the same as the original power adapter. (12VDC, IA, center positive borreljock)

Prerequisites 5

OC1 Camero is in factory state

  • Make sure the camera is in factory state.
  • If it’s a new camera, you can skip this step.
  • If it’s not a new camera (for example if it has been set up previously) then please reset it first by pressing the reset button for a few seconds.

Setup

Step 1: Navigate to settings

  • Tap on the cogwheel icon in the bottom right corner of the cord corresponding to the gate that you would like to add the camera to.

Step 2: Select camera from settings

  • Select the Camera option from the settings menu.

Step 3: Select the type of camera

  • Select the image thot looks like the OC1 camera and press the “Next” button.

Step 4: Check if the blue LED is blinking and scan the QR code on the camera

  • Check if the blue LED on the camera is blinking.
  • The camera is ready for setup when the blue LED is blinking at a rate of 2 flashes per second.

Step 5: Enter the Wi-Fi credentials

  • Enter your Wi-Fi credentials (Wi-Fi SSID and Password). Make sure that your smartphone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Tap on the “Get configuration OR code” button and scan the QR code using the OC1 camera.

Step 6: Scan the QR code with the camera

  • If you heor “wireless connection successful” or “wireless connection succeeded” then select the “Yes” button to proceed.

Step 7: Confirm that the wireless connection was successful

  • If you hear “wireless connection successful” or “wireless connection succeeded” then select the “Yes” button to proceed.

Step 8: Finalizing the configuration

  • Select “Configure camera” to save the settings.
  • Tap on the play icon to see the live stream. (In order to save mobile data, only a still image is shown by default).

Step 9: Hardware installation

  • For the best performance and experience, the recommended height of the spotlight camera is 2.2m (7.22 feet), camera downward tilt angle of 300.

Note: Ensure thot rain or water will not reach the connector ports at the end of the pigtail wiring. These connectors are not weather-resistant.

Safety Tips

Please make sure to carefully read and follow the installation guide. If there’s something that you don’t understand, please feel free to ask the Remootio Support Team. If you are not sure about ony steps of the installation, please ask Q professional to install the camera for you.

Troubleshooting

Camera not powering on:

If your camera is not powering on, please try the following:

  1. Check if the outlet is working properly. Try to plug the camera into o different outlet and see if the camera turns on.
  2. Check if the DC adapter is working or not. If you have another 12V/1A power adapter, plug it into the camera and see if the camera turns on.
  3. If it still won’t turn on, please contact Remootio support.

Connecting to a new Wi-Fi network

If you would like to connect the camera to a new Wi-Fi network, please select “Delete camera” from the camera settings menu in the Remootio app and reset the camera by long pressing the reset button. After the reset, it is recommended to unplug the camera for at least 10 seconds. Once the reset and unplug cycle is complete, the camera can be set up as a new camera (please see step 1).

Camera live stream is delayed or logging

  • Make sure that there is a strong enough Wi-Fi signal at the location of the camera.
  • If needed, add a Wi-Fi hotspot or a Wi-Fi repeater to ensure that you have a strong enough Wi-Fi signal for the camera.

General issues

If nothing else works, please delete the camera from the Remootio app and reset it using the reset button. After the reset procedure, you can set it up as a new camera following the steps from step 1. Make sure that you are using the latest version of the Remootio app.
