Why is my SpotClean leaking?
LEAKING FROM BOTTOM
- Tilt machine to see if leaking is coming straight out of the center of the bottom
- Remove the dirty water tank and unscrew the bottom of the tank
- Replace tank making sure the arrow and lock match up
LEAKING FROM CLEAN WATER TANK
- Remove clean water tank from machine
- Check that the black, round valve is not stuck or pushed up
- If it sticks, push the valve with your finger to see if it comes back down
- If not, replace the tank
- Check the clean water tank for any cracks or damage
- If there is any damage, it will need to be replaced
- If clean tank is still leaking, please contact BISSELL Consumer Care
DIRTY WATER TANK LEAKING
- Check that the “duck bill” gasket is pushed all the way in place
- Make sure there is no debris in the crevices in the “duck bill” gasket
- Some duck bills include a screw you must remove to pull gasket out and clear debris
- Remove dirty water tank
- Line up the bottom separator stack with the lock icon on the collection ank
- If it is not locked into place, the collection tank will leak
- If dirty tank is still leaking, please contact BISSELL Consumer Care
LEAKING OUT OF THE HOSE
- Check that there are no cracks or damage to the hose
- If leaking is coming from the hose where the attachment connects or where the hose enters the machine, please contact BISSELL Consumer Care
LEAKING FROM THE VENT

Be sure the dirty water tank is seated properly

Check that there is no excessive foaming

Try using the machine with a new formula
-
Watch for foaming and wait for the foam to settle prior to using the machine

If the float is damaged or not working properly, a new one will need to be ordered

If machine is still leaking from the vent, please contact BISSELL Consumer Care
Why does my SpotClean have no power? -
Unplug machine

Run hand along entire length of power cord, it should be smooth

Check plug for damage
-
If either the cord (not smooth or exposed wires) or plug (prongs) are damaged, please contact BISSELL Customer Support

Check to see if the outlet is working:

Test this by plugging in a cell phone charger or small appliance

If no power to the outlet, test a different outlet in a separate room
-
Reset circuit breaker if needed
What to do if your SpotClean has no spray:
- Fill clean water tank with water and formula
- Securely place clean water tank back onto the unit
- Press down firmly on the tank to make sure it’s secure and there are no gaps between the tank and base of the machine
- Remove any tools and clean spray tip on the tool with a brush (i.e. toothbrush) or paperclip
- Tools can be soaked in warm water.
- Check tool for any cracks or damage and replace if necessary
- Press trigger to spray with tool off
- If the wand does not spray, clean the spray nozzle with a paperclip
- Remove the clean water tank and press on the small X in the round valve on the bottom of the tank
- If no water comes through the valve, the tank may need to be replaced
- If water does come through the valve, place the clean water tank back on the unit
- Gently lift the clean water tank while pressing the trigger
- Replace and squeeze the clean tank while still pressing the spray trigger
