GETTING STARTED
Setting Up
- Connect the power plug of the DVD player to a wall outlet. The power indicator and timer on the front panel will illuminate.
- Follow the guidance below for connecting your DVD player:
Cable Connection Options
- Connect a RCA cable between the 2-channel Audio Output port and the RCA input on your TV.
- Connect a 1–lDMI cable between the 1–lDMI Output on the back panel of the DVD player (Ref.44) to the 1–lDMI input on your TV.
- Connect a (Y Pb/Cb Pr/Cr) cable via the (Y /Cb/Pb Cr/Pr) Output of the DVD player (Ref.42) to your TV (R/L/Video port and cable).
DVD OPERATION
The following DVD formats can be played: DVD, DVD-R-RW, CD Video, and Mpeg4.
- Ensure that your TV is set to the correct mode for DVD playback.
- Plug in the DVD player and press the ‘Power’ button to turn the unit on. You can do this on the unit ( Ref.41) or via the remote ( Ref.1).
- When the machine is switched on, pressing the POWER button on the remote control will make it go into standby mode. Press the button again and the machine will switch on.
- WARNING: If the product will not be used for an extended period, it is advisable to unplug it for safety.
- Press the Open/Close button on the front panel ( Ref.38) or the remote control (Ref.20) and place a DVD on the disc tray. Press the Open/Close button again to close the tray.
- The DVD will read the DVD and begin playing. You can control the playback and settings via the remote control.
- This device has a USB port in the front interface for MP3/Movie playback.
- Insert a USB device into the USB port ( Ref.37).
- Press the DVD/USB button on the remote control ( Ref.3) to switch the source to USB. The DVD player will read and display the file list from the USB drive.
- Browse through the file list by pressing the buttons ( Ref.5, Ref.6, Ref.7, Ref.25) on the remote control. Select a file by pressing the Enter button (Ref.24) of the remote control.
PLAYING JPEG/PICTURE ca & MP3 DISCS
PLAYING JPEG/PICTURE CDS
The following formats can be played: JPG, Jpeg, CD Photo
- Press the STOP button and 12 small pictures will show on the TV screen.
- Press the buttons to select the desired picture to view. ( Ref.5), (Ref.6), (Ref.7), (Ref.25).
- To access the instructions menu, use the buttons to navigate and then press the ENTER button to confirm. The following options will display:
- PROG – Select to change picture transform mode
- STOP – Entering picture preview mode
- PREY – Previous picture
- NEXT – Next picture
- PLAY – Play picture
- UP – Mirror image in vertical
- DOWN – Mirror image in horizontal
- LEFT – Rotate 90 degrees anticlockwise
- RIGl-ff – Rotate 90 degrees clockwise
- ZOOM – Change zoom mode
- FAST FORWARD – Zoom in the picture
- FAST REWIND – Zoom out the picture
- Move the zoom focus for a picture.
PLAYING MP3 DISCS
- The following formats can be played: Mp3, WMA, CD Audio, CD-R-RW, CD
- Whilst an MP3 disc is playing, a menu screen will display on the TV. Press the buttons ( Ref.5, Ref.7) to scroll through tracks or folders. Press the ENTER button to select the track or folder.
- Press the PROG button in file play mode. The screen will then display the total track number and the current track playing. Use the digit buttons ( Ref.9) to key in and select the track or use the buttons to shift to the track and press the ENTER buttons (Ref.24) to play the track.
SYSTEM SET-UP
MENU OPERATION
Setup options
Setup options on System, Language, Audio, Video, Speaker, and Digital can be
accessed from the main setup menu.
- Press SETUP on the remote control to display the main menu.
- Use the UP/DOWN arrows to move up or down in the menu. Then press ENTER to confirm the selection and move to the submenu.
- Use LEFT /RIGI-IT arrows to move the cursor and UP/DOWN arrows to the desired option, then press ENTER to confirm.
- Press the LEFT arrow to return to the previous menu. The setup options for this function are now finished.
- To end the setup, press the SETUP button again.
System setup

TV system: for composite only
Based on the TV hardware, select the proper options: NTSC, PAL, or AUTO. The default is PAL. -
Screen Saver
Use this option to turn the screen saver ON or OFF -
Resolution
On 1-lDMI, select one of the following video output resolutions: OFF, 720P,1080l,1080P. -
Video setup
Your video settings must correspond with the type of connection to your TV or other equipment. -
Aspect Ratio
Use this submenu to select the aspect ratio. -
Password
Use the numerical keys to set your 4-digit password. The default and master password is “0000”. -
Parental Control
Use this option to set an appropriate rating to restrict viewing for children. The options available correspond to the film ratings on the disc. -
Default
Use this option to restore the default factory settings. -
Resume
If this option is set to “ON” and the power is turned off, the player will remember where it stopped, and when the power is resumed, it will continue to play from that point. -
Language setup
Select options for your on-screen and menu language and subtitles. -
OSD language
Select a language to be used on the on-screen display and setup -
Audio language
Use this option to set the audio (dubbing) language. -
Subtitle language
Use this option to set the subtitle language, or choose ‘off’ to hide the subtitles. -
Menu language
Use this option to set the film’s menu language.
Audio setup

Audio out
Use this menu to select your audio output.
Key
Use the UP/DOWN arrows to adjust the key. -
Video setup
Under this menu, you can select options for your image output. -
Brightness
Use the UP/DOWN arrows to adjust the brightness. -
Contrast
Use the UP/DOWN arrows to adjust the contrast. -
Hue
Use the UP/DOWN arrows to adjust the hue. -
Saturation
Use the UP/DOWN arrows to adjust the saturation. -
Sharpness
Use the UP/DOWN arrows to adjust the sharpness. -
Speaker setup
Select options including downmix, subwoofer, center delay, rear delay, and size of the front, center, and rear speakers. -
Downmix
This setting is for 1-lome Theater. If two channels are required, select the Stereo -
Digital setup
Use this menu to select digital setup options including OP, dynamic range, and dual/mono. -
OP mode
- For nighttime playing, select LINE OUT to set the volume at a lower level.
- For daytime playing, select RF REMOD to set the volume at a

Dynamic range
When LINE OUT is selected, use this setting to adjust the line-out ratio for a different effect. The audio signal peak value will be at the minimum when set to Full; peak value will be at the maximum when set to Off. -
Dual mono
Choose this option to set up the left (L) and right (R) mono output; there are four modes in this option.
