Safety Considerations

WARNING

To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or personal injury, please observe the following:

  • Please use this equipment in the manner prescribed by the manufacturer. If you have any questions, please contact the manufacturer.
  • Installation work and electrical wiring must be completed by qualified personnel in accordance with all applicable codes and standards, including fireproof construction.
  • The ceiling joist must bear a static load greater than five times the weight of the product.
  • Do not damage electrical wiring and other hidden utilities when cutting or drilling into walls or ceilings.
  • Before servicing or cleaning unit, switch power off at service panel and lock the service disconnecting mains to prevent power from being switched on accidentally. When the service disconnecting mains cannot be locked, securely, fasten a prominent  warning device, such as a tag, to the service panel.
  • Do not place the switch where the bathtub or shower can reach.
  • When the product is no longer in use, it must not be left in place, but moved out of the way to prevent it from possibly falling.
  • Do not disassemble the unit for reconstruction. It may cause fire or electric shock. This product must be grounded.

CAUTION

  • Do not install this fan in areas where the temperature may exceed 60°C (140°F).
  • Before installation, make sure the unit is facing the correct direction.
  • Ensure that the power supply voltage is 120V, 60Hz.
  • Comply with all local electrical and safety codes, as well as the National Electrical Code (NEC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA).
  • Protects wires from sharp edges, oil, grease, hot surfaces, chemicals or other objects.
  • Do not bend the wires.
  • Do not use to discharge hazardous or explosive substances or vapors.
  • Always turn off the power before working near the fan or motor.

Description

SUPROCKY in-line fan is designed for residential or light commercial applications, this powerful ventilation fan often be placed in the roof space or ceiling void, it is much quieter than traditional fan as the fan is located away from the living space.
SUPROCKY in-line fan is designed with centrifugal fan, so it can use less energy to move more air. Less energy also means less overheating and motor failure, saving you money on maintenance.

Unpacking

Carefully open the package containing the in-line fan. Check that all items are included according to the specifications and that all parts are undamaged.

InstallationⅠ (between joists)

  1. Disconnect the power from the outlet before starting the installation.
  2. Attach the adapters to the unit with screws. (Fig.1)
  3. After confirming the installation direction of the unit, attach the brackets to the unit with screws. (Fig.2) Dimensions: mm (inch)
  4. If the distance between the joists is less than A (table 1), lock one side of the expansion bracket to the shortest and fix it to the bracket with screws, while the other side will be kept sliding for easy adjustment during installation; (Fig.3)

(table 1) If the distance between the joists is greater than A (table 1), lock one side of the expansion bracket to the longest and fix it to the bracket with screws, while the other side will be kept sliding for easy adjustment during installation. (Fig.4)

  1. Lift the unit between the joists and attach it with long screws. (Fig.5)

For best results, mount the unit as horizontally as possible.

Installation Ⅱ (on joists)

  1. Disconnect the power from the outlet before starting the installation.
  2. Attach the adapters to the unit with screws. (Fig.6)
  3. After confirming the installation direction of the unit, attach the brackets to the unit with screws. (Fig.7) Dimensions: mm (inch)
  4. If the distance between the joists is less than B (table 2), lock one side of the expansion bracket to the shortest and fix it to the bracket with screws, while the other side will be kept sliding for easy adjustment during installation; (Fig.8)

If the distance between the joists is greater than B (table 2), lock one side of the expansion bracket to the longest and fix it to the bracket with screws, while the other side will be kept sliding for easy adjustment during installation. (Fig.9)

  1. Place the unit between the joists and attach it with long screws. (Fig.10)

For best results, mount the unit as horizontally as possible.

Installation Ⅲ (vertically on joists or pillars)

  1. Disconnect the power from the outlet before starting the installation.
  2. Attach the adapters to the unit with screws. (Fig.11)
  3. After confirming the installation direction of the unit, attach the brackets to the unit with screws. (Fig.12) Dimensions: mm (inch)
  4. If the distance between the joists is less than C (table 3), lock one side of the expansion bracket to the shortest and fix it to the bracket with screws, while the other side will be kept sliding for easy adjustment during installation; (Fig.13)

For best results, mount the unit as horizontally as possible.

Wiring Diagram

SUPROCKY in-line fan come with a power cord, if you need to replace the power cord, please follow these steps:

  1. Remove junction box cover and secure conduit or wire holder to junction box cover knockout hole.
  2. Using wire nuts, connect house power wire as shown in the wiring diagram. (Fig.16)
  3. Replace junction box cover.

Warranty

SUPROCKY ensure the product components will be free of material defects in workmanship or materials for a period of 3 years following the date of initial purchase of such product by a customer. This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of defective equipment.
If it is necessary to return unit for service, customer is solely responsible for proper packaging, transportation costs. Customer must initiate warranty process by contacting SUPROCKY. Do not send any component or product back to SUPROCKY without return material authorization.
This limited warranty does not apply to any part or component that is damaged in transit or when handling, has been subject to misuse, corrosion, chemicals, acts of God, has not been installed, operated or serviced according to the seller’s instructions, or has been operated beyond the factory rated capacity or has been altered in any way.
Routine maintenance is not covered by this warranty.
This limited warranty is void if defect(s)result from failure to have this unit installed by a qualified heating and air conditioning contractor.
SUPROCKY shall not be responsible for loss of use of any product, loss of time, inconvenience, or damage to other equipment, or any other indirect or consequential damage with respect to property whether as a result of breach of warranty, neglect, or otherwise.
