Inside the Box
You can use the power adapter only with this TE20. The camera in this guide supports 12x optical zoom. The following images are for your reference only. Actual components may differ in appearance. If any components are damaged, missing, or wet, contact your supplier.

Front and Rear Panels
Front Panel
- Lens
- TE20 (5X): 5x optical zoom.
- TE20 (12X): 12x optical zoom.
- Button and status indicator
- Button: Press it to power on or off the TE20. When the TE20 is working, you can press this button to enable the TE20 to sleep or wake it up.
- Status indicator: shows whether the TE20 is running, sleeping, upgrading, or malfunctioning. The TE20 in a conference or being upgraded cannot be put into sleep.
- Built-in microphone: provides sound pickup for the local site.
Rare Panel
- USB port: connects to a USB device.
- LAN port: connects to an Ethernet cable.
- Power port: connects to a power supply.
- HDMI2 OUT port: delivers the presentation shared by the local or remote site as the second output when the dual-screen function is enabled.
- HDMI1 OUT port: connects to a device to deliver audio and video of the local site as the first output by default.
- VGA IN port: connects to a VGA input source.
- LINE OUT port: connects to a 3.5 mm audio output port.
- AI port: connects to a microphone array, for example, HUAWEI VPM220.
- Reset pinhole: restores TE20 to the original version. (push for 10s when TE20 is powering on). Factory settings (push for 10s when TE20 is running or push front panel button simultaneously for 3s when TE20 is powering on). Use the tip of a pen (or similar) to reset.
- HDMI IN port: supports input of HD audio and video. Use either HDMI IN or VGA IN at a time.
Remote Control
- Power: Switch on or off/wake/sleep/restart TE20 Leave conference

You can connect the cables before or after installing the TE20.

Mounted on a Tabletop
Place the TE20 on a flat surface, for example, on a conference room table. If you have to place the TE20 on an inclined surface, make sure that the incline does not exceed 15 degrees so that the TE20 functions properly. -
Mounted on Top of a Display
Use the L-shaped bracket and its accessories to secure the TE20 on top of the display.- Install the base.
- Measure the display thickness.
- Attach the bracket to the base.
- Display thickness ≤ 97 mm 97 mm < Display thickness ≤ 170 mm (97 mm = 3.82 in. 170 mm = 6.69 in.)
- Stick a hook-and-loop fastener onto the back of the display.
- Secure the TE20 on top of the display.
- Use a hook-and-loop fastener to secure the bracket.
Mounted on a Wall
Tools used for bracket mounting: hammer drill, hammer, rechargeable battery- powered electric screwdriver, and Phillips screwdriver
- Position the bracket on the wall and mark holes for drilling. Insert expansion bolts into holes.
- Secure the bracket with four washers.
- Install the base.
- Secure the base using M3 x 8 countersunk screws.
- Secure the TE20 onto the base.
- Connect and bind cables. The cable color may differ from the image.
Mounted on a Ceiling
For ceiling-mounted installation, prepare a bracket separately. The bracket must meet the following requirements:
When attaching the TE20 to your purchased bracket, use one of the 1/4″-20 UNC screws that come with the purchased bracket instead of the 1/4″-20 UNC screws that originally come with the TE20 because the length of the latter may not be compatible with the purchased bracket.
- Able to bear a weight of at least 10.5 kg (23.15 lb) and has a thickness between 2 mm (0.08 in.) and 3 mm (0.12 in.).
- Comes with a location pillar, which can be inserted into the location hole of the TE20. The distance between the screw hole on the bracket and the location pillar must be 14.5 mm (0.57 in.), which is also the distance between the two holes at the bottom of the TE20.
- Comes with a screw hole and one or more 1/4″-20 UNC screws.
The TE20’s base should be positioned downward at an angle of 0 to 30 degrees below the ceiling mount bracket.
Mounted on a Tripod
Purchase a tripod that can bear a weight of at least 10.5 kg (23.15 lb). The sizes and positions of its holes must be the same as those of the holes at the bottom of the TE20.
Connecting Cables
Powering On
When the TE20 is powering on or running, manually rotating the TE20 or stopping it from rotating may cause damage.
When all cables are connected correctly, connect the TE20 to a power supply using the power adapter. When the power adapter indicator turns on, the TE20 automatically powers on.

Configuration Wizard
Use the wizard to quickly set up your TE20. You can access the wizard by choosing System Settings > Configuration Wizard.
- Contact the administrator to confirm the network configuration mode and obtain the network settings.
- On the Registration screen, select a cloud platform or server (Huawei cloud, Videxio, StarLeaf, eSight, TMS/DM, or SMC) to complete the settings. If you want to manually complete the settings, contact the administrator.
