Product Usage Instructions

Outdoor Unit Installation

To install the outdoor unit of the Compress 5800i AW heat pump, follow these steps:

1. Choose a suitable location for the unit, considering compatibility with your home’s heating system.
2. Ensure there is enough space for installation and proper airflow around the unit.
3. Connect the rear-facing connectors to the appropriate pipes of your heating system.
4. Securely fit the outdoor unit using the provided screws.
5. If necessary, remove the screws to access the control box and main components for maintenance or troubleshooting.

Pre-plumb Cylinder Installation

To install the pre-plumb cylinder of the Compress 5800i AW heat pump, follow these steps:

1. Select the appropriate cylinder volume based on your requirements.
2. Position the cylinder in a suitable location, ensuring proper connections to the heating system.
3. Connect the DHW sensor, control box with HMI 800 controller, and other components as per the provided instructions.
4. Ensure proper circulation by connecting the primary and secondary circulation pumps.
5. If required, connect the back-up heater and micro buffer.
6. Use the provided drain valves for cylinder and heating circuit drainage.

With technology and ease-of-use at its core, the cylinder control unit comes with Connect-Key K30 connectivity as standard – meaning easy setup and use with the Bosch HomeCom Easy app. Designed and built in the UK, specifically with UK homes in mind, this cylinder can handle a wide range of domestic hot water volumes in any home – new or old, and is available in a slimline variant for air cupboard installation.
