1. What do I do if my control shows no power when switched on.
A) Check the connection to the blanket is secure. B) Check the connection to the wall socket is plugged in correctly and securely. C) Check the wall socket is switched on. D) Try the control in another plug socket to eliminate the wall socket being faulty. E) After checking points A-D if you still have the same problem and if the blanket is dual control swap the control to the other side to see if the problem is the same. If the problem is the same contact your place of purchase for a replacement blanket. 2. My blanket is taking longer than 15 minutes to heat up.
A) Make sure the unit is switched on full for the first 15 minutes, then turned down to your required temperature. B) Make sure when first switched on the covers and duvet cover are fully pulled over the electric blanket to trap the heat so the electric blanket can function correctly. C) Make sure all windows and doors are closed to stop unnecessary drafts which can slow the process of correctly heating your electric blanket to the correct temperature. D) Poor room insulation and cold temperatures in the room will obviously slow the time required when heating your electric blanket so please take these important points into consideration when setting your electric blanket.
3. Storing my blanket out of season.
A) It is best practice to store your blanket if not being used during the warmer months. B) First detach the controls from the blanket and follow the washing label instructions, never wash the blanket with the controls attached. Dry the blanket as instructed on the washing label. C) When completely dry carefully fold the blanket with the controls and store in the storage bag supplied with the blanket. D) When storing the blanket never stack items on top of the blanket, over time this can create pressure and may cause damage to the internal wiring meaning the blanket will fail to operate when needed.
