How It Works
Managing the Weather Feature on Your PhotoShare Frame
Setting Up and Managing Weather Locations
- Go to Frame’s Home Screen: Start from the main interface of your PhotoShare Frame.
- Access the Weather Feature: Locate and tap on the “Weather” icon.
- Add a New Location: Click the “+” sign to begin adding a new city.
- Search for Desired City: Enter the name of the city for which you want weather updates.
- Confirm Selection: Tap to select the city from the search results. This adds the city to your Weather widget.
Automatic Location Setting
- The weather location is initially set automatically using data from your WiFi connection. This ensures that the weather information is relevant to your current location.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
- Incorrect Weather Information: If the weather display is not accurate, please ensure your frame is connected to a stable and correct WiFi network.
- Frequent Updates: Regularly update your frame’s software to ensure the Weather feature and other functionalities are operating optimally.

Our 8 and 10.1 inch frames have a resolution of 720p while our 14 inch frames have a resolution of 1080p for brilliant, picture perfect quality.
The Aspect Ratio for 8 & 10.1 inch frames is 16:10 and 16:9 for 14″ frames.
Giving PhotoShare Frame as a Gift
PhotoShare Frames make amazing gifts! Make the experience even better for the recipient by preloading the frame with personalized photos, videos, and special messages. It’s surprisingly easy and is sure to make them smile!
To add media to the PhotoShare Frame, simply:
- Open the PhotoShare Frame App
- Tap the 3 dots (…) in the top right corner
- Tap “Gift Setup”
- Scan the long barcode located on the PhotoShare Frame box
- Then tap the photos/videos you want to share. Don’t forget to add captions if you want!
Do PhotoShare Frames Require Internet?
Our PhotoShare frames require a 2.4ghz Wifi source.
Industry standard for routers is 2.4/5ghz. Most routers will automatically select 2.4ghz. In some cases, 2.4ghz may need to be selected manually to connect to the frame. Please consult your router manual on how to do this.
Who Can Send Photos to PhotoShare Frames?
Frame owners can share their Frame ID or email address with all their family and friends. There is no limit!
As a security feature, the first time someone sends a photo or video to your frame, a pop-up will appear to notify you. You can choose to either accept or decline. Once someone has been accepted, you will not see this notification again. Instead, photos will just arrive seamlessly!
If at any time you wish to revoke someone’s permission, you can do so in the frame’s settings.
How Many Photos Will a PhotoShare Frame Hold?
Each PhotoShare Frame comes with 8GB of internal storage to ensure you have enough space on your frame for all your favorite photos. On average, a frame holds around 5,000 photos, but varies since file sizes vary.
If you find that you need even more space, you can insert an SD card or USB stick into the appropriate port on the back of the frame to move photos/videos to the expandable storage instead, freeing up your frames internal storage. Note that currently, when friends or family send you photos they will always go onto your frames internal storage (not on the USB or SD card).
Do PhotoShare Frames Require a Subscription or Fees to Use?
No! There are no fees or subscriptions to use or send photos to PhotoShare Frames. Even the PhotoShare Frame app is free!
How is a PhotoShare Frame Powered?
PhotoShare Frames need to be plugged in to use and enjoy. Each frame comes with an A/C power adapter and there is a USB port if you prefer to use a USB cord.
