AATM800STE 2-in-1 Tea Maker & Kettle
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- In the unlikely event that the device should become defective, never try to carry out the repair yourself. Always have repairs carried out by a qualified technician.
- This appliance may be not be used by children over the age of 8 years old and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and know-how.
- Children are not allowed to clean and maintain the appliance, except if they are over the age of 8 years old and supervised.
- Keep the appliance and the cable out of reach of children under the age of 8 years old.
- Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- Always place electrical appliances on a stable and flat, heat-resistant surface, in a place where it cannot fall.
- Certain parts of an electrical appliance can become warm or even hot. To avoid burns, do not touch these parts of the device.
- Do not allow electrical devices, cables or plugs to come into contact with water, other liquids, or other heat sources.
- The appliance must not be operated by means of an external timer switch, or by a separate system with remote control.
- Only hold the device by the handles. All metal
- parts can be very hot.
- Use only the base supplied with the jug kettle. Never use the base for other purposes.
- Use the appliance only to boil or heat water. Never use it for other liquids!
ENVIRONMENT
Dispose of packaging materials such as plastic and boxes in the appropriate containers.
- Do not hand this product in as normal household waste at the end of its life cycle, but hand it in at a collection point for reuse of electrical and electronic equipment. Look for the symbol on the product, instructions for use, or packaging.
- The materials can be reused as indicated. By helping with the reuse, recycling of materials or other forms of use of old equipment, you are making an important contribution to protecting the environment
- Ask the municipality for the correct collection point in your area.
OPERATION
The appliance is intended only for domestic use, not for professional use.

- Unpack the device and remove all packaging parts.
- Clean the jug kettle before using for the first time (see ‘Cleaning and maintenance).
Using the device as a kettle
- Remove the lid (1), fill the glass jug (3) with the desired amount of water, replace the lid and place the glass jug on the base (4) and plug in the mains plug.
- This appliance must be connected to an earthed mains socket.
- If necessary, set the desired temperature with the Temperature + / – Buttons (11) and then press the On/Off Button (10).
When it reaches the set temperature, the device emits 3 signals in quick
succession. You can now take the glass jug by the handle (5) off the base and
pour out the hot water. After use, remove the plug from the wall socket.
WARNING:
The hot water or hot parts can cause severe burns. Always pick up the glass
jug by the handle.
Using the appliance as a tea maker
- Remove the lid, pull the tea basket, using the small ring, from the lift, and fill the glass jug with the desired amount of water.
- Open the tea basket and fill it with the desired amount of loose-leaf tea (or a tea bag). The amount depends on your personal preference (approx. 1 scoop of loose-leaf tea per 250 ml of water). Close the tea basket again and place it back on the lift. Close the lid on the glass jug, place the glass jug on the base and plug in the mains plug.
- Now select one of the pre-sets with the Tea Type Selection Button (8). Each pre-set has its own temperature and infusion time.
- Now press the On/Off Button (10).
When it reaches the pre-set temperature, the tea basket will automatically
sink into the hot water.
When it reaches the pre-set infusion time, the tea basket will rise again, and
the device will give 3 signals in quick succession. You can now take the glass
jug by the handle off the base and pour the tea. After use, remove the plug
from the wall socket.
You can deviate from the pre-sets by setting your own temperature and/or your
own infusion time. To do this, use the Temperature + / – Buttons and the
Infusion Time + / – Buttons.
Using the auto start function
- Press and hold the Auto Start Button (6) until the display starts flashing.
- Use the Temperature + / – Buttons to set the current time.
- Use the Infusion Time + / – Buttons to set the delay time in 30-minute increments. You can set the device to start automatically from 30 minutes to 10 hours.
- Confirm with the On/Off Button.
WARNING:
If the auto-start function is used, you must fill the appliance with
sufficient water and tea beforehand.
Using the keep warm function
Press the Keep Warm Button (7) before, during or after the brewing process to
ensure that the tea is kept warm for a maximum of 60 minutes.
Overheating protection
The device is equipped with an overheating safety feature. This switches the
appliance off automatically if it is switched on without or with too little
water. The device must then cool down for at least 10 minutes before it can be
used again.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Disconnect from the mains power supply and let the appliance cool down.
- Never immerse the appliance in the water! Never put the appliance in a dishwasher.
- Clean it with a damp cloth.
- If the inside of the glass jug is discolored, it is best to clean it with a damp cloth and some soda. Then rinse the glass jug properly.
- Never use harsh, corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents or sharp objects (such as knives or hard brushes) to clean the appliance.
Descaling
Depending on the hardness of the water, limescale will be deposited.
- Remove the limescale filter from the tea maker. Remove the limescale filter and rinse the filter under running water. Re-insert the filter.
- Fill the glass jug to the Max. level with a vinegar solution and bring to boil. Let the vinegar solution soak in the jug for a few hours. Then empty and fill it up to the Max. level with clean water and bring to boil. Empty the jug again. Repeat twice.

- Only use a vinegar solution or special commercially available limescale solvents.
