FOLLOW THE RECOMMENDED CONFIGURATIONS! IF YOU GO OVER THE MAXIMUM VOLTAGE LIMIT ABOVE YOUR WILL DAMAGE THE CONTROLLER AND THIS IS CONSIDERED AN INSTALLATION ERROR, WHICH IS NOT COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY.

IMPORTANT INSTALLATION INFORMATION
  • An external sensor should be installed in the borehole ± 30cm above the pump. The pump will stop if the borehole has no water.
  • Do not reverse polarity (P+ & P-) from the solar panels.
  • Before wiring, make sure the controller is OFF.
  • Connect the pump first, then tank sensor (if needed) and lastly the solar panels.
  • Always check that the volts (Voc) from the panel array is within recommended limits before connecting to the controller (use a multimeter on DC setting to check).
  • Use 4mm three core submersible cable from 0 to 60meters, use 6mm 3-core submersible cable from 61m to 150m.
  • TEST YOUR PUMP IN A DRUM FILLED WITH WATER TO ENSURE EVERYTHING IS WORKING!

  4. Pump stops when borehole empty (dry run protection)

There is a color indicator on PC board that shows which pump wire to connect to which terminal (W V U), after you extend the pump cable with submersible cable these colors will change. The submersible cable colors are different. Make a note (or take a photo) of how you join the pump cable to submersible cable to ensure correct connection of W V & U at the controller. If you do not connect W V & U correctly the pump will not work, the motor will turn the wrong way causing the helical rotor to loosen! You will need to pull the pump and tighten the rotor. Always wait the recommended time for your cable joint to dry! Usually 60 minutes, read the instructions.

CONTROL PANEL

Voltage (V): Voltage Indicator Light
Speed (RPM): Speed Indicator Light
Current (A): Current Indicator Light
Power (W): Power Indicator Light
Tank: On when tank is full
Well: On when borehole empty
MPPT: Blinking if solar panels generate power
Power: Blinking during downtime, on when running

FAULT CODES
P0 Hardware Overcurrent Check Pump Wiring. W V U connected wrong.
P43 Phase Protection Check Pump Wiring. W V U connected wrong.
P46 Stall Protection • Low power. Did you use the correct submersible

cable thickness? Use 4mm three core submersible cable from 0 to 60meters, use 6mm 3-core submersible cable from 61m and up.
• Are your panels facing true north at an angle of 25-35 degrees? Flat panels will cause a power loss.
• Are your panels clean? Do not wash panels when they are warm, it can cause cracks. Do it early morning with lukewarm water.
• Test your panels, are they matching the specs of the solar panel.
P49| Software Over-Current| Bearings could be stuck, please contact installer
P50| Low Voltage Protection| Input voltage too low. Did you use the correct panels?
P51| High Voltage Protection| Input voltage too high. Did you use the correct panels?
P48| Dry Run Protection| No water in the borehole. Wait for the borehole to fill. Will also happen when testing the pump in a drum filled with water.
P60| High Temperature Protection| Controller too hot. Do not install in direct sunlight.
E8| Current Sampling Failure| Disconnect solar power. Reconnect. Restart.
PL| Power Shortage | Insufficient sunlight. Did you use the correct solar panels?
ALARM| Reverse Polarity Protection| Change positive and negative from solar array. Restart.

If you need support, please contact your reseller or installer, they will be able to assist.
