Violin bridge Q&A

● Can the violin bridge position be moved?

If you don’ t have confidence and experience in the bridge and sound column, please do not move the position of the violin bridge. The position is determined by our masters with decades of experience. When changing the strings, pay attention to changing them one by one, and don't loosen them all. If the pressure is weakened, the sound column may be crooked or inverted.

● What if the violin bridge fallen down?

The bridge is pressed against the surface by the pressure of the strings. If the strings are loose, it is easy to cause the bridge to fall. This is a normal situation, we have recorded a complete video tutorial, please contact our online customer service to request for it.

● How to set the exact position of the violin bridge?

The position of the violin bridge is determined by our masters with decades of experience, please do not adjust it randomly, otherwise it may cause damage to the violin. If the bridge falls off accidentally, please refer to the mark left by our bridge on the body of the violin, and install it vertically to the violin surface.

● How to set the exact position of the violin bridge?

The position and angle of the bridge need to be checked frequently. If the bridge is not perpendicular to the panel, the upper part is easy to bend after long-term tight string pressure. The sound quality of the violin will deteriorate after the bridge is bent, so the bridge should always be kept perpendicular to the surface of the violin.

Fine tuner Q&A

Fine tuners are consumables. We have 4 fine tuners with the violin, one of which is installed on the violin, and the remaining 3 are in the gift bag. The exception is the one-piece tailpiece violin, which cannot be used with this fine tuning.

● Why doesn't the fine-tuning install 4?

Violin fine-tuning is used to help tune the strings, that is, first use the knob of the headstock to adjust, and then use the fine-tuning to adjust. Generally speaking, we only install the E string on the first string, because installing too many fine tuners will affect the tone of the violin. This is why violinists generally install fine tuners on the E string, and do not install other strings, and some even do not install any tuner.

● There is noise on the violin, what's the matter?

The violin itself will not have noise, please first rule out the cause of fine tuning and strings if there is noise. Many times it is because the fine adjustment screw is loose. In addition, re-adjust the pitch, and the strings may vibrate too much if the pitch is low.

Other problem Q&A

In case of special circumstances, please don’t worry. Please contact us immediately.

● How to deal with the falling of violin fingerboard?

Because the violin uses imported animal glue, which itself can be opened again. If there is a problem with the fingerboard falling off, please do not deal with it yourself. Contact us to send it back, and we can repair it for you free of charge.

● The violin body is open and unglued, what's the matter?

The violin is a whole detachable assembled musical instrument. When the temperature and strength exceed a certain range, protective glue will appear to avoid irreversible damage. The violin glue is a design glue. If such a problem occurs, we can provide you with free repair service.

● How to maintain the surface of violin?

The maintenance method of the violin is as follows: 1. Wipe the instrument with a soft cloth in time after use, and don't forget to wipe off the rosin skin on the strings. 2. The instrument should be placed away from heat and moisture. 3. If it is not used for a long time, the four strings can be lowered by one standard tone on average, which is beneficial to the violin. 4. Always check the posture of the violin bridge, whether it is standing on the bridge line and lean back slightly, and correct it in time. 5. When the violin is put into the box, it must be fastened. When the box is in hand, it often happens that the body of the violin falls to the ground. 6. After the bow is used, the bow hair must be loosened, otherwise the bow will lose its elasticity soon after being tightened for a long time. Restoring elasticity is a very technical job. 7. When putting rosin on the bow, it is enough for the bow hair to go back and forth on the rosin three or four times.

● Do you have to tune the violin every time you use it?

There is no absolute good or bad in anything, and the tuning of the violin is like this. The violin is easy to go out of tune, and it is relatively easy to tune. Anyone who learns to play the violin needs to learn to tune by himself, unless the child is too young and needs the help of a teacher or parent to tune. It is not uncommon to see performers tuning live before a performance at a recital. As long as you want to learn the violin well, tuning is the beginning of the foundation.

● Why do violins often run strings?

Violin running strings is one of the most common problems with the pegs. The main reason is that the violin has been used for a long time and the pegs and shaft holes are worn, or the wood of the pegs is deformed due to the influence of the climate, which will cause the strings to run out of the pegs. Try to apply a little rosin powder, chalk, etc. on the shaft to increase friction and improve it.

● What can I do if the violin shaft is not strong enough?

The solution to the loose violin shaft: when tuning, the tuner should be tightened while pushing in, because the tuner is a cork-like cone, and the closer it is, the tighter it is. If slipping is found, some rosin powder can be applied to the violin shaft.

● What if the piano shaft is tight and can't be screwed?

The pegs have a special anti-slip treatment. If it is too tight and difficult to twist, just apply some soap or talcum powder. Sometimes due to the hot weather, the wood of the violin shaft will heat up. If it cannot be twisted, you can wrap the violin shaft with a cloth, and use pliers to twist it down slowly. Do not use brute force to avoid damage. After unscrewing, you can rub some soap on the shaft to lubricate it, and you can also rub a little bit of talcum powder.

● The color of fingerboard and accessories is uneven. Is the paint uneven?

Many people mistakenly think that ebony is pure black, but in fact most ebony is taupe. Ebony is divided into grades. Only A-grade ebony is close to black. The color difference of ordinary ebony is relatively large. The ebony of domestic violins is usually made of ordinary ebony. The color difference is difficult to control in batches. Most of the ebony seen is all black. European violins pay attention to environmental protection, and pay more attention to the selection of heavy materials. The production process is different from domestic ones, Choose A-grade ebony. It is normal to have ebony grains. Some accessories are not painted, and the coloring is not

Dear Christina friends, thank you for your support of our products. Due to the hot weather and humidity, the temperature of packaging and transportation on the logistics vehicle is very high, which will reach the melting point of paint. Please check the  appearance of the violin as soon as you receive it. If you have any questions, please contact us as soon as possible.

Violin maintenance instructions:

After using the violin every time, it is strongly recommended to put the violin in the case. If the violin is left in the air for a long time in summer, it will be damaged due to degumming, deformation and cracking due to air humidity and high temperature. It must also be placed in the violin case in winter to prevent the air from being particularly dry, and damage such as degumming and cracking will also occur. [ Note: Do not leave the violin in the car in summer, which will cause serious damage to the violin!] The air humidity should be controlled between 40% – 50%. In summer, it is recommended to buy desiccant and put it in the violin case.
Remember to loosen the bow every time you use it, or the bow will become inelastic. Remember to straighten the violin bridge every time you tune it, otherwise the violin bridge will bend over time.
Remember to gently wipe the strings with a cloth after each use, otherwise they will make noise. The strings are recommended to be replaced every six months.
