Use and Care Instructions
Fitting the BackRx
Unpack your BackRx from the carry case by turning it inside out and pulling the two looped elastic bands until they lay flat.
Orient the BackRx across the low back making sure the buckles present themselves on the upper elastic strap.
Sit down, fasten the buckle around the waist and center the lumbar support over your lower back.
Keeping hands in the loops as shown, lean forward and stretch both loops forward evenly until they fit securely below your knee on your upper shin (over the kneeling bone).
Warning: DO NOT use driving or operating vehicles.
Removing and Stowing
To avoid elastic “snap-back” when you stand or remove the ‘sling, always hold the buckle in one hand while straightening one or both legs.
Finally, squeeze the button and pull the two halves of the buckle apart.
Reach into the pouch and pull on the handles on each side to easily turn the product inside-out. Turn over and snap pouch closed.
Finally, fold the BackRx in half and snap the base of the handles together to create a convenient carry pouch.
Alternate Sitting Positions
The BackRx works equally well for sitting on the ground crosslegged or with
knees up.
For best support, position the back rest so the straps are parallel to the
floor.
Accessory Foot Straps
For those whose tasks require extending legs while sitting, an accessory foot strap is available separately. (Not for use while driving. Ask about our Lumbar Jack for driving).
- Snap in straps
- Place over feet
- Adjust length
Care and Medical Notices
With proper care, the BackRx will provide lasting comfort. It is primarily elastic so it should not be subjected to extended periods of heat. Do not leave it in a car or in the sun for long periods as it degrades. Hand-wash cold. Line dry. As always, ask your doctor before using this product to treat serious back injury. While Nada-Chair products are widely prescribed by medical professionals, each back condi- tion is individual and must be diagnosed. If submitting for insurance coverage, have your medical provider use HCPCS procedure billing code: L0625 – Lumbar orthosis (LO)
