Smart Remote (Bluetooth)
The Smart Remote (Bluetooth) is a device that can be connected to your TV
to operate it. It pairs automatically with the TV when you turn it on for the
first time. If it doesn’t pair automatically, you can pair it manually by
pointing it at the front of the TV and pressing and holding the “and” buttons
simultaneously for 3 seconds or more. The usable distance between the remote
and the TV is less than 6 m, and this may vary depending on wireless
environmental conditions. You can use the remote to control external devices
that support HDMI-CEC (Anynet+) by connecting them to an HDMI port on the TV
using an HDMI cable.
**Connecting the Smart Remote (Bluetooth) to the TV
**
Connect the Smart Remote (Bluetooth) to your TV to operate the TV, When you turn on the TV for the first time, the Smart Remote (Bluetooth) pairs to the TV automatically. If the Smart Remote (Bluetooth) does not pair to the TV automatically, point it at the front of the TV, then press and hold the and buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds or more.
- Turn on your TV.
- If the Smart Remote (Bluetooth) does not pair to the TV automatically, point it at the front of the TV.
- Press and hold the “and” buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds or more.
- The Smart Remote (Bluetooth) should now be paired with your TV.
Remote Control and Peripherals
You can control TV operations with your Remote Control. Pair external devices such as a keyboard for ease of use.
About the Remote Control
Learn about the buttons on the Remote Control:
- The image, buttons, and functions of the remote control may differ depending on the model or geographical area.
- Use the Smart Remote (Bluetooth) less than 6 m from the TV. The usable distance may vary with the wireless environmental conditions.
- To use the Remote Control to control a compatible external device that does support HDMI-CEC (Anynet+), connect the device to an HDMI port on the TV using an HDMI cable. For more information, refer to “Using Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC)”.
Using the Remote Control
You can use the Remote Control to control TV operations. You can also pair
external devices such as a keyboard for ease of use. The buttons, image, and
functions of the remote control may differ depending on the model or
geographical area.
Basic Buttons
Button | Description |

(Power) | Press to turn the TV on or off. |
(Voice Assistant) | Runs Voice Assistant. Press and hold the button, say a |
command, and then release the button to run Voice Assistant.
This button is optional and it is supported by only the Smart Remote that uses Bluetooth communication.
Directional button (up, down, left, right)| Use to navigate the menu or move
the focus to highlight items on the Home Screen.
Select| Selects or runs a focused item. When pressed while you are watching a
broadcast programme, detailed programme information appears.
(Return)| Press to return to the previous menu. When pressed for 1 second or
more, the running function is terminated. When pressed while you are watching
a programme, the previous channel appears.
(Smart Hub)| Press to return to the Home Screen.
(Volume)| Move the button up or down to adjust the volume. To mute the sound,
press the button.
When pressed for 1 second or more, the Accessibility Shortcuts appears.
Press and hold the MUTE button if it exists on the remote control, to run the
Accessibility Shortcuts.
(Channel)| Move the button up or down to change the channel. To see the Guide screen, press the button.
When pressed for 1 second or more, the Channel List screen appears.
- Press the GUIDE button if it exists on the remote control, to enter the Guidescreen.

Buttons for each type

0-9, – (Number button) | Enter numbers on each button. |
(Number button) | Press to bring up the virtual numeric pad on the screen. Use |
the numeric keypad to enter numeric values.
Select numbers and then select Done to enter a numeric value. Use to change the channel, enter a PIN, ZIP code and etc.
When pressed for 1 second or more for a channel that supports the teletext service, the TTX menu appears on the TV screen. For more information, refer to “ Teletext Feature “.
Red, Green, Yellow, Blue (Colour button)| Press a button to run the additional
option for the current function.
(Colour button)| When pressed, coloured buttons appear on the screen. Use this
button to access additional options that are specific to the feature in use.
Multimedia Button (Play/Pause/etc.)| Run the assigned functions for each
button (e.g. Rewind, Play, Pause).
(Play/Pause)| When pressed, the playback controls appear. Using these
controls, you can control the media content that is playing.
IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
If a television is not positioned in a sufficiently stable location, it can be potentially hazardous due to falling. Many injuries, particularly to children, can be avoided by taking simple precautions such as:
- Placing the television on a platform, stand, cabinet, table or other surface which is:
- recommended by Samsung or sold with the product;
- secure and stable;
- sufficiently wider in the base than the base measurement of the television;
- strong and large enough to support the size and weight of the television.
- Positioning the television close to the wall to avoid the possibility of the television falling when pushed.
- Ensuring your television is installed by an authorized Samsung installer.
- Following the instructions for wall mounting in the installation manual and using the mounting equipment supplied by Samsung.
- Placing the television toward the back of the furniture or surface on which It is placed
- Ensuring that the television does not hang over the edge of the furniture or surface on which it is placed.
- Not hanging anything from oron the television.
- Anchoring both the television and the furniture on which it is placed to a suitable support, especially in the case of tall furniture, such as cupboards or bookcases which exceed one meter in height. This can be done by using sturdy brackets, safety straps or mounts that are made specifically for screen televisions.
- Not placing any material between the television and the furniture on which it is placed.
- If the furniture on which the television is placed has drawers, cabinets or shelves under the television, taking steps to prevent children from climbin , such as installing safety latches so the doors cannot be open
- Keeping pets away from the television.
- Educating children about the dangers of climbing on furniture to reach the television or its control.
- Failure to take these safety precautions may cause the television to fall from the stand or mounting equipment, causing damage or serious injury.
Wiring the Mains Power Supply Plug (UK Only)
IMPORTANT NOTICE
- The mains lead on this equipment is supplied with a moulded plug incorporating a fuse. The value of the fuse is indicated on the pin face of the plug and, if it requires replacing, a fuse approved to BSII 362 of the same rating must be used.
- Never use the plug with the fuse cover omitted if the cover is detachable. If a replacement fuse cover is required, it must be of the same colour as the pin face of the plug.
- Replacement covers are available from your dealer.
- If the fitted plug is not suitable for the power points in your house or the cable is not long enough to reach a power point, you should
