Basic Operation Guide

Note: Short press refers to pressing the button briefly and then releasing it; long press refers to holding down the button for 2-3 seconds and then releasing it.

  • Power On/Off/Restart: Press and hold the key for 3 seconds to power on and enter standby mode. Press and hold the key for 3 seconds to enter the power-off state. In the event of a system freeze, press and hold the key for 12 seconds and then release it to force a restart.
  • Language Settings: After powering on, press the key to enter the main menu. Use the key to select “System Settings,”  and press the key to enter and select “Language” for language settings.
  • Recording: Start recording by sliding the recording switch to the “Recording” position in any state, and stop recording and save by sliding the recording switch to the “Save” position. After saving the recording, press the 【 】key to play the recorded audio.
  • Play/Pause/Confirm Key: In the playback interface, short press the key to play/pause. In the menu options, it functions as the confirm key.
  • Volume Adjustment: In the playback/pause interface,press the 【Volume】 key to enter the volume adjustment, and then press the keys todecrease or increase the volume.
  • Fast forward/Rewind: During playback, long press the keys to fast forward / rewind.
  • Previous track/Next track: During playback /pause, press the keys to select the previous/next song.
  • Submenu:During playback/pause, press the 【M】 key to enter the submenu (Recording Settings) options.
  • Return/Main Menu: Press the key to return to the main menu. While in the settings interface, press the 【 】key to go back to the previous menu.
  • A-B Repeat: During playback, press the【A-B Repeat】 key to enter the repeat mode. The screen will display the letter “A” flashing. Press the【A-B Repeat】key again to set the endpoint as the letter “B” flashes. This will initiate the A-B repeat playback. To exit the A-B repeat playback, simply press the【A-B Repeat】key again.
  • Delete Recording: In playback/pause mode, press the 【DEL】 key to enter the delete options.Press the keys to select “Delete File (Single File)” or “Delete All.” Press the key to confirm the selection, then press the   keys to select “Yes /No,” and press the key again to confirm the deletion of the file.

Warning: Performing this operation will permanently delete the files and cannot be recovered. Please use with caution!

REC

  • If the battery level is extremely low, the device will automatically save the current recording file and power off due to low battery.
    Short press keys to select the voice mode in the main menu. Press key to enter the following sub-menu, and you can press keys to make the following selections:
    Recordings Library:
    Short press keys to select the recording library, then short press key to enter the recording file directory and select the desired recording file. Pressing key will play the recording.

Record Settings:

  • Record From: Microphone, Line in

  • Record Format: WAV (default), Mp3.

  • Set Rec Bitrate: The device offers 6 different recording quality options: 256kbps, 512kbps, 768kbps, 1024kbps, 1536kbps, and 3072kbps. A higher value indicates better recording quality, but it also occupies more memory.

  • Record Sensitivity: You can select from 8 different sensitivity levels. Higher numbers indicate higher recording sensitivity, capturing sound from a greater distance but also increasing background noise. Lower numbers indicate lower recording
    sensitivity, capturing sound from a closer distance and reducing background noise.

  • Subsection Record: You can select the desired recording time duration. Options include Off, 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes, and 120 minutes.

  • Avr Set: Short press the keys to select the voice-activated mode, then press the  key to enter the voice-activated switch and sensitivity settings.
    ◆ AVR Switch:You can choose “Off” or “On”. When you select “On” for voice- activated recording, the display screen will show “VOR” to indicate voice- activated recording. If there is no sound, the device will automatically pause the recording, and it will resume recording when there is sound detected. This feature helps to effectively save memory space.
    ◆ AVR Level:You can choose from 5 different sensitivity levels, with higher numbers indicating greater sensitivity.

  • Monitor: You can select “Off” or “On.” When “On” is selected, you can listen to the recording through  the headphones while recording, allowing you to assess the recording quality in the current environment. Turning off the monitoring means that you won’t be able to hear the recording while recording.

  • Auto Record: Press the key to enter. You can choose to enable or disable timed recording. Set the desired start time, end time, and recording cycle. If you select “Timed Recording: On,” you will enter the setting for the start time (hour/minute) and end time. Use the keys to select the desired digits, then press the 【M】 key to move to the next digit. Once set, press the key to confirm and exit. (Note: Make sure to set the system time correctly for this function to work, especially when the device is powered off.)

Music
Press the key to enter the main menu. Use the keys to navigate to the music mode. Press the key to enter the song playback interface, then press the key to start playback. While in the paused state during music playback, press the【M】 key to access the settings menu (pressing the 【M】 key in the paused state during recording playback will also access the same menu).

  • Local Folder: While in play/pause mode, press the【M】 key to enter the submenu. Select “Local Folder” and press the key to enter the track list in the local folder. Use the keys to select the desired track, then press the key to start playback.

  • Memory Card Folder: While in play/pause mode, press the 【M】 key to enter the submenu. Select “Card directory” and press the key to enter the track list in the card directory. Use the keys to select the desired track, then press the key to start playback.

  • Play Mode: Repeat Normal(Sequential playback)、Repeat 1 (single-track loop)、Repeat All

  • Equalizer: Off, Rock, Funk, Hip-Hop, Classical, Jazz

  • Repeat Settings: Repeat Mode, Repeat Times, Repeat Interval
    ◆ Repeat Mode: During playback, press the 【M】key to enter the submenu and select the repeat settings. Choose the repeat mode and press the key to confirm. At this point, the screenwill display a flashing “A” character. Press the key once to set the starting point for the repeat section, indicated by a flashing “B” character on the screen. Press the key again to set it as the endpoint for the repeat section. This will initiate A-B repeat playback. To exit the A-B repeat playback, press the key.
    ◆ Repeat Times: You can set it from 1 to 10 times.
    ◆ Repeat Interval: You can set an interval time of 1-10 seconds.

  •  Variable Speed Playback: The speed can be adjusted from +8 level to -8 level.

Set

Under the main menu, press the keys to select system settings, then press the key to enter system settings, and press the keys to select the desired submenu.

  • Language: You can choose from 22 languages, including English, German, French, Italian, etc.
  • Date and time: Press the key to enter. You can set the time and date separately. Press the keys to adjust the numbers, press the 【M】 key to move to the next digit setting, and press the key to confirm.
  • Password Switch: You can choose “Off” or “On”. When the password switch is turned on, if the password is incorrect, you will not be able to use or view the files on the device, and you will also be unable to access them through a computer.
  • Modify Password: Press the key to enter. At this time, the 4-digit original password “0000” will be displayed. Press the key again to set a new password. Use the keys to select the desired number, then press the 【M】key to proceed to the next digit setting. After setting, press the ey to confirm and exit. In case of forgetting the password, enter “9999” and longpress the 【M】 key, then press the key to unlock and simultaneously remove the password.
  • Storage: Press the key to enter. Then press the key to select “InternalMemory” or “External Memory”. After setting, press the【 】key to confirm and exit.
  • Ultra-long Standby: You can select “Off” or “On”. After setting, press the key to confirm and exit.
  • Sleep Timer: Set the device to automatically power off at the designated time during operation. The setting range is 1-99 minutes.
  • Backlight timer: It can be separately set to 10 seconds, 20 seconds, 30 seconds, or always on.
  • Brightness: You can set the contrast level from 1 to 15.
  • Information: Query player information. Check the status of main disk space and memory card storage pace.
  • Format Device:Used to format the device’s storage space and delete all files, including all recording and music files. Please make sure to backup the necessary files before formatting.
  • Factory Settings:Restore user settings: Some settings will be restored to the default settings when the device is reset to its factory settings.
  • Download file to computer: Use the USB cable provided to connect to your computer. Find the file (RECORD) on your computer. Copy and Paste the recordings from the recorder file to your computer.

Important Notes:

  • During the process of transferring data files on the “Removable Disk”, make sure not to disconnect the USB cable to prevent file corruption due to improper operation
  • MP3 songs are usually placed in the root directory of the “Removable Disk”.
  • Recording files recorded in MP3 format are still saved in the “RECORD” folder and can be played through the recording list, but they will not appear in the music playlist.
  • Please remove the removable disk using the proper method to prevent data loss.

Charging the device: Plug the USB connector into a USB port an your computer. Insert the micro USB plug into the USB port on the recorder.
NOTE: During the charging process, the battery icon indicator will change sequentially. It takes approximately 4 hours to fully charge, and once charging is complete, the battery icon symbol will no longer change. When the device indicates low battery and fails to power on, it needs to be charged promptly.
