Product Usage Instructions

1. Ensure the appliance is not used near bathtubs, showers, basins, or other vessels containing water.
2. Check local regulations regarding the fitting of electrical sockets in bathrooms.
3. Before usage, familiarize yourself with the parts of the appliance, including the ceramic-ionic coated grille, heat and speed settings, cool shot button, concentrator attachment, removable rear grille, hang up loop, and cord.
4. Select the desired speed setting using the switch on the handle.
5. Choose the desired temperature by sliding the temperature setting switch to either the low (N) or high (P) setting.
6. For fast drying, use the high heat/high-speed function.
7. To create smooth styles, use the concentrator attachment and a round hair brush (not included) while drying.
8. To set your style, press the cool shot button while styling, then release it to reactivate the heat.
9. After use, turn off the appliance and unplug it.
10. Slide the speed setting switch down to the ‘0’ position to completely turn off the appliance.
11. Allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning and storing it away.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

• This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been supervised/instructed and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and cable out of reach of children under 8 years.
• Do not use this appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins, or other vessels containing water.
• When the appliance is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use since the proximity of water presents a hazard even when the appliance is switched off.
• For additional protection, the installation of a residual current device (RCD) having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA is advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom*.
• Currently, the fitting in a bathroom of an electrical socket suitable or capable of operating the appliance is not permitted in the UK (see BS7671).
• If the supply cord of this unit becomes damaged, discontinue use immediately and return the appliance to your nearest authorized Remington® service dealer for repair or replacement in order to avoid a hazard.
• Always ensure the voltage to be used corresponds to the voltage stated on the unit before plugging the appliance into the main socket.
• Keep direct airflow away from eyes or other sensitive areas.
• Do not allow any part of the appliance to touch the face, neck, or scalp.
• During use, always ensure the inlet and outlet grilles are not blocked in any way as this will cause the unit to automatically stop. If this should occur, switch off and allow the unit to cool.
• Keep the power plug and cord away from heated surfaces.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended while plugged in.
• Do not place the appliance on any soft furnishings.
• Do not use attachments other than those we supply.
• Do not set the appliance down while still on.
• Do not twist or kink the cable, or wrap it around the appliance.
• Do not use the appliance if it is damaged or malfunctions.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

1. Wash and condition your hair as normal.
2. Squeeze out excess moisture with a towel and comb through.
3. Hairsprays contain flammable material – do not use them while using this product.
4. Plug the product into the mains power supply.
5. To switch the product on slide the speed setting switch up once to the medium speed setting .
6. Select the desired temperature and speed setting using the switch on the handle.
7. To select the heat setting slide the temperature setting switch to the low N or high setting .
8. For fast drying use the high heat / high speed function.
9. To create smooth styles use the concentrator and a round hair brush (not included) whilst drying.
10. To set your style, press the cool shot button whilst styling then release it to reactivate the heat.
11. After use, turn the appliance off and unplug.
12. To turn off the slide the speed setting switches down to the ‘0’ position.
13. Let the appliance cool down before cleaning and storing it away.

ECO SETTING

• To use the dryer on the eco setting align the heat and speed setting switches with the eco symbol .

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool.
• To maintain peak product performance and to prolong motor life, it is important to regularly remove any dust and dirt from the air filter grille and clean it with a soft brush.
• To remove the rear grille, for cleaning, hold the dryer handle in one hand, then with the other place your thumb and index finger on either side of the rear grille. Pull the rear grille away from the dryer.
• To replace the rear grille hold in place with thumb and index finger again and click back onto the dryer.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

• Before use, ensure the hair is clean, dry, and tangle-free.
• For extra protection use a heat protection spray.
• Hairsprays contain flammable material – do not use them while using this product.
• Section the hair prior to styling. Style the lower layers first.

1. Plug the product into the mains power supply.
2. Slide the switch, which is located on the side of the product, to the left to switch on.
3. Working on one section at a time, run the straightener through the entire length of the hair without stopping.
4. Only repeat twice per section to prevent damage to the hair.
5. After use, turn the appliance off and unplug.
6. To turn off slide the on/off switch to the right.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Unplug the appliance and allow to cool.
• Wipe all the surfaces with a damp cloth.
• Don’t use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents or solvents.

To avoid environmental and health problems due to hazardous substances, appliances and rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries marked with one of these symbols must not be disposed of with unsorted municipal waste.
