Product Usage Instructions

To use the GT60 radio, follow these steps:

CHARGING THE RADIO
Follow these instructions to charge or recharge your radios. Make sure to turn the radio OFF before charging.

  1. Using your smartphone adapter, connect the USB charging cable. Insert Charging USB plug to DC IN 5V USB jack of the radio and plug the other end into an AC outlet.
  2. Make sure that the LED illuminates. Charge the batteries for 2~3 hours and remove the radio from the charging cradle after charging. (The LED is in Red when the battery is under charging. The LED is in Green when the charging is full.) This radio has a battery level meter that indicates the battery power level. When the battery level is low, the battery level meter icon flashes and then BATT appears after 30 seconds. Recharge the batteries immediately.

TURN ON/OFF THE DEVICE
SELECT THE MAIN CHANNEL

  • ** Step 1:** Press the MENU once.
  • ** Step 2** :MENU The main channel number is flashing.
  • ** Step 3** :Press the up and down button to adjust the channel number (1~16).
  • Step 4: PTT Press the PTT to confirm the selected channel.

SELECT THE SUB CHANNEL

  • Step 1 :MENU Press the MENU twice.
  • Step 2 :The sub channel number is flashing.
  • Step 3 :Press the up and down but , to adjust the channel number(1~142).
  • Step 4 :Press the PTT to confirm the selected channel.

USING A HEADSET

  • ****GT60 can support the 3.5mm headset with mic on the cord.
  • To use a headset, lift the rubber cover from over the headset jack, then plug in the headset.

TURN ON/OFF THE VOX FUNCTION

  • Step 1 :Press the MENU 3 times.

SETTING A CALL TONE

START A CONVERSATION

  • When the walkie-talkie is switched on and not being used for speech or papering, it is always T in the receiving mode. Press the PTT button, it will send conversation to other radio.

CHANNEL SCAN
Your radio has a channel scan feature that lets you easily scan all 16 channels. When an active channel is detected the radio pauses on that channel until the channel is clear. Then after a 2-second delay, the radio resumes scanning. Pressing PIT while the scan is paused on a channel lets you transmit on that channel. To turn on channel scan: Turn on the radio and short Press the SCAN. The channel number changes as the radio rapidly cycles through the channels.

  • KEY LOCK
    Long press and hold the MENU until LOCK appears. | To turn Key lock off, long press and hold MENU again.

  • SENDING CALL
    Make sure the call tone is on. And short press the button to send the calls to another radio.
