Product Information

  • The ECO-DIM.07 Z-Wave is a universal LED dimmer that can be used with various types of lamps. It operates on an input voltage of 220-240 VAC at a frequency of 50Hz. The dimmer uses phase cutting and trailing/leading edge dimming techniques to control the brightness of dimmable LED lamps, electronic transformers, halogen lamps, and incandescent lamps. It has a power range of 0-250W for trailing edge dimming, 0-150W for leading edge dimming, and 10-300W for incandescent lamps. The dimmer is suitable for both retrofit lamps and new installations.
  • The ECO-DIM.07 Z-Wave features a two-wire connection, eliminating the need for a neutral wire. It has a soft start system to prolong the lifespan of LED lamps and built-in protection for temperature and overload. The dimmer is not compatible with magnetic or core transformers.

Instruction

Note

  • This is a two-wire dimmer and it should be connected as shown under the heading ‘Wiring diagram’.
  • Installation of the dimmer on a 230V mains should be carried out by a qualified professional, taking into account national regulations. Ensure that the electricity is switched off during all work.
  • You cannot connect more than one dimmer in parallel. To then control the same load from two points.
  • Dimmer is not suitable for wound/magnetic or core transformers.

Setting min. light level

Turn on the lights using the dimmer shaft. Then turn the dimmer shaft as far as possible to the left (minimum light output). Do the lights blink?

  • Then use a screwdriver to slowly turn the MIN potentiometer to the right for stable light. Is the light already stable? Then slowly turn the MIN to the left for even better dimmability, to just before the point where the lamps start blinking. This is the best dimmability of the LED lamps..

Now install the dimmer in the flush-mounting box using the screws.

  3. Step 3
Switch the electricity on again. Turn on the connected lamps using the dimmer shaft. Now set MIN as indicated under ‘Setting min. light level’.

  4. Step 4
Now link the dimmer to your SMART home system.

  5. Step 5
Replace the cover frame, the central plate and the 2 dimmer buttons on the dimmer.

Reduction of connection capacity by Power Factor
When calculating the LED connection power of the dimmer, take into account the Power Factor of the dimmable LED lighting. See the global calculation below for this.

NOMINAL POWER NUMBER OF LED LIGHT

  • Example: 10 lamps * (5W per lamp / 0.8 PowerFactor) = 62.5 Watt
