Product Usage Instructions
- Before starting the installation, verify that you have all the components mentioned above.
- If you have also purchased the LOD Front Differential Skid Plate, install it before installing the Front Bumper Skid Plate.
- Remove the two black bolts that were used to hold your stock front air dam or skid plate.
- Remove the two larger differential frame bolts.
- If you are not installing the LOD Front Differential Skid Plate, skip this step: Do not use the Lower Front Skid Mount Bracket as your Front Skid Plate will mount directly to the LOD Differential Skid Plate.
- Install the Lower Front Skid Mount in the designated location using the two black bolts from your stock air dam and the two larger differential frame bolts. Loosely install all four bolts and then tighten securely.
- Remove the stock recovery brackets one at a time to avoid dropping the Intercooler. Be careful not to damage the rubber vibration isolator attached to the Intercooler mount. Do not remove the rubber isolators as they will be used with the new mounts.
- Install the new Intercooler Mounting Bracket using the stock Recovery Bracket mounting bolts. Ensure that you use the correct bracket on each side. Loosely install the bracket on both sides and then tighten the bolts securely.
- Install the Front Skid Plate by loosely installing the four Button Head Screws into the bottom of the bumper. Have a helper hold the skid plate while installing the hardware.
VERIFY YOU HAVE ALL THE COMPONENTS BEFORE STARTING THE INSTALLATION. REFER TO THE ENGINEERING DRAWINGS AT THE END OF THIS DOCUMENT FOR A COMPLETE PARTS LIST
Special Note
If you also purchased the LOD Front Differential Skid Plate, you will want to
install it before installing your Front Bumper Skid plate.
- Once you have completed the installation of your new LOD Front Bumper, you can now install your new Front Bumper Skid Plate.
- Skip this step if you are also installing the LOD Front Differential Skid Plate.
- You will not need this Lower Front Skid Mount Bracket because your Front Skid Plate will mount directly to the LOD Differential Skid Plate.
- Install the Lower Front Skid Mount in the location shown. Use the two black bolts from your stock air dam and the two larg-er differential frame bolts.
- Start by loosely installing all four bolts. Then tighten securely.
- Next you will need to remove your stock recovery brackets shown here.
- These brackets also support the Inter-cooler and will be replaced with new support brackets included with your Front Skid Plate kit.
- Only remove one bracket at a time so the Intercooler does not drop.
- Be careful when removing these brackets so not to damage the rubber vibration isolator attached to the Intercooler mount.
- Do not remove the rubber isolator, they will be used with the new mounts.
- Install the new Intercooler Mounting Bracket by reusing the stock Recovery Bracket mount-ing bolts.
- The driver and passenger side brackets are specific. Be sure to use the correct bracket on each side.
- Loosely install the bracket as shown on both sides.
- Make sure the rubber isolator is seated properly and then tighten the bolts securely.
- Now install the Front Skid Plate using the Ø3/8” Button Head Screws and Washers. Loosely install the four Button Head Screws into the bottom of the bumper.
- Be sure to have a helper to hold the skid plate while installing the hardware.
- Install the Ø3/8” Button Head Screws, Washers and Nuts onto the Lower Front Skid Mount. Once all fasteners are installed, be sure to tighten every one securely.
