Product Usage Instructions
- Read the instructions for use carefully before using the aquarium for the first time. Keep the instructions in a safe place.
- Installation:
- Assemble the pump housing and filter housing with the provided filter element.
- Connect the nozzle tube, elbow, and sponge to the filter housing.
- Place the filter in the desired corner of the mini-aquarium.

- Cleaning and replacing the filter elements:
- Regularly clean the filter elements to maintain optimal performance.
- To clean, remove the filter housing and rinse the filter element under running water. Do not use soap or chemicals.
- If necessary, replace the filter element with a new one from the available replacement options.

Installation
- Prior to use, remove the filter housing and rinse all parts with warm water.
- Fit the filter in the desired corner of the aquarium using the suction clips.
- Depending on the intended purpose of the filter, it should be positioned as follows:
- For plant aquaria with CO2 supply: Nozzle tube under the water surface, relatively weak flow rate. 2
- This results in only gentle movement of the water surface, thus avoiding unnecessary losses of CO2. The vital oxygen is produced by the plants.
- For breeding and temporary storage aquaria: Nozzle tube above water, stronger flow of water.
- In this way, sufficient oxygen is supplied to the aquarium. 3
- For paludaria: Place the filter in the horizontal position in the water area. Secure the nozzle tube with an elbow. 4
- Where necessary, the space between the filter and the corner of the aquarium can be closed off with the two sponges, in order to keep out fish and other creatures that live in the aquarium. 5
- The filter should be positioned at least 2 cm away from the bed so that the pump is not damaged by any gravel that is sucked in.
- The pump should never be allowed to run dry – this could damage the motor engine and bearing.
Cleaning and replacing the filter elements
- The filter elements should be cleaned every 2-6 weeks, depending on the level of contamination:
- Disconnect the mains plug.
- Remove the filter from the aquarium. Remove the filter housing by pulling it downwards. 6 Pull the filter housing apart 7 , Remove filter elements, and wash out carefully – ideally in a clean bucket containing aquarium water, so as to avoid harming the important filtering bacteria.
- In order to maintain a high level of filter performance, the filter element should be replaced every 3-6 months.
- Replacement filter elements: Art. no. 5926.
- Corner filter XL: We recommend cleaning and replacing the two filter elements one by one. In this way, one filter element will remain biologically active, ensuring a constantly high level of water quality.
- Cleaning the pump, setting knob and nozzle tube
- Remove filter housing.
- Remove the cover cap, pull out the rotor, and clean all parts carefully – avoid bending the rotor axle! 8
- Pull the setting knob upwards to remove it for cleaning purposes. 9
- Clean the nozzle tube by means of the integrated slide, and 10 clean the nozzles with a mini-brush 11.
