Millennium 42645 Four Light Outdoor Hanging Lantern

Product Information

The product is an electrical fixture that requires assembly and installation. It is designed to be mounted on a ceiling and comes with a canopy, collar loop, chain, mounting strip, outlet box, and various screws and wires. The fixture also includes a cage with a glass panel and requires a bulb (not included) for operation.

Product Usage Instructions

1. Before starting the installation, turn off the main power at the circuit breaker to prevent any potential electric shock.
2. Carefully unpack the fixture and lay out all the parts on a clean surface.
3. Attach the mounting strip to an outlet box using two outlet box screws.
4. Unscrew the collar loop ring from the collar loop. If needed, use pliers to spread the links of the chain apart and adjust the hanging height. Once the desired length is achieved, unscrew the K/D rings on the chain, but do not remove them. Attach the top K/D ring to the screw collar loop and the bottom K/D ring to the fixture loop.
5. Weave the electrical wires and ground wire up through the chain, collar loop ring, canopy, and nipple preassembled on the mounting strip. Then, insert them into the outlet box.
6. Tie the ground wires from the fixture and outlet box to the ground screw on the mounting strip. Connect the wire without writing on it (with raised ribs) from the fixture to the white wire (neutral wire) from the supply circuit. Connect the wire with writing on it from the fixture to the black wire (live wire) from the supply circuit. Cover the connections using the provided wire connectors. Position the wires back inside the outlet box.
7. Place the canopy over the nipple and tighten the ring onto the collar loop until the canopy is held firmly against the ceiling.
8. Install a bulb into the socket, making sure not to exceed the maximum wattage specified on the fixture’s wattage rating label.
9. Attach the small soft pads (included in the parts bag) on the middle of the glass panel. Insert the glass panel into the slot in the top edge of the cage and secure it by pressing the tabs onto the bottom edge. Bend the tabs upwards as much as possible to hold the glass panel tightly.
10. Turn on the power. The installation is now completed.

CAUTION
Turn off the main power at the circuit breaker before installing the fixture, to prevent possible shock.

GENERAL

All electrical connections must be by local and National Electrical Code (N.E.C) standards. If you are unfamiliar with proper electrical wiring connections obtain the services of a qualified electrician.
Remove the fixture and the mounting package from the box and make sure that no parts are missing by referencing the illustrations on the installation instructions.

ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION

1. Carefully unpack the fixture, and lay out all parts on a clean surface.
2. Attach mounting strip (3) to outlet box (1 not included) using two outlet box screws (4).
3. Unscrew the collar loop ring (16) from the collar loop (8). If necessary, use pliers (not included) to spread links of the chain (17) apart and remove any links to achieve the desired hanging height. Once chain (1 ) is at the desired length, unscrew the K/D rings ( ) on chain (17) , but do not remove them. then attach the top K/D ring to the screw collar loop (8) and the bottom K/D ring (18) to the fixture loop (19).
4. Weave electrical wires and ground wire up through the chain (17), the collar loop ring (16), the canopy (7), and the nipple (15) preassembled on the mounting strip (3), then into the outlet box (1).
5. Tie the ground wires (6) from the fixture and (2) from the outlet box to the ground screw(11) on the mounting strip. Connect the wire (5) without writing on it (with raised ribs) from the fixture to the white wire (neutral wire 10) from the supply circuit. Connect the wire (14) with writing on it from the fixture to the black wire (live wire 12) from the supply circuit. Cover the connections using provided wire connectors (13). Position wires back inside the outlet box.
6. Place the canopy (7) over the nipple (15) and tighten the ring (16) onto the collar loop (8) until the canopy is held firmly against the ceiling
7. Install the bulb (22 not included) into the socket. Make sure they do not exceed the maximum wattage specified on the fixture’s wattage rating label.
8. Attach the small soft pads(23)(included in the parts bag) on the middle of the Glass Panel. Insert the glass panel (21) into the slot in the top edge of the cage (20), Secure the glass panel (21) by pressing the tabs onto the bottom edge. The tabs should be bent up as possible to hold the Glass panel tight.
9. Turn on the power.
