Product Information

The BCE5V Compact Air Handler is a blower coil unit designed for installation in homes. It features a compact cabinet and includes coils and various components for efficient operation. The product is part of the 5 Series with enhanced features and is available in  multiple models with different tonnage options.The BCE5V Compact Air Handler comes with a 10-year limited warranty on all parts, with the option to extend the warranty. To qualify for the 10-year coverage, the warranty must be registered online within 60 days of installation. Unregistered equipment defaults to a 5-year coverage. Product Usage Instructions

To install the BCE5V Compact Air Handler, follow these
steps:

  1. Ensure that the installation clearances are met. The cabinet requires no clearance, and the unit should be positioned with 0 inches clearance to the plenum, outlet duct within 3 feet, and floor. Refer to the user manual for additional clearance requirements.
  2. Select the appropriate accessories based on your installation requirements. The available accessories include the Downflow Kit, Horizontal Support Frame kit, Side Return Unit Stand (upflow only), Single Point Power Kit, Wall Hanging Bracket Kit (upflow only), and High Performance Economizer (Commercial Only). Refer to the user manual for compatibility information.
  3. If electric heat is required, choose the appropriate Electric Heat Kit with Terminal Block or Electric Heat Kit with Circuit Breaker based on the desired heating capacity. Refer to the user manual for size and model compatibility.
  4. Install the selected accessories as per the provided instructions.
  5. Connect the refrigerant lines to the suction and liquid ports as specified in the user manual. Ensure the correct size of the installed TXV (Thermal Expansion Valve) is used.
  6. Connect the unit to the power supply. The voltage requirement for the BCE5V Compact Air Handler is 208-230V, 1 phase, and 60Hz.
  7. Perform any necessary service or maintenance following the guidelines provided in the user manual.

WARRANTY

10 year limited warranty on all parts, extended warranty available Warranty provides for a total of 10 years of limited warranty coverage (Standard 5-year limited parts warranty plus an additional 5-year limited extended parts warranty).
