Product Usage Instructions

  1. If you are using the kettle for the first time, it is recommended that you clean your kettle before use by boiling a full kettle of water twice and then discarding the water.
  2. Place the kettle on a flat surface.
  3. To fill the kettle, open the lid by pressing down on the lid release button. Once filled with the desired amount of water, close the lid. Always fill the kettle between the minimum and maximum marks. Too little water will result in the kettle switching off before the water has boiled. Do not fill the water over the maximum level, as water may spill out of the spout when boiling. Ensure that the lid is firmly in place before plugging the power outlet.
  4. Position the kettle on the power base.
  5. Connect the plug into a power outlet. Press down the switch and the indicator will light up. The kettle will start to boil the water. The kettle will switch off automatically once the water has boiled. If necessary, please wait 30 seconds before re-boiling the water. You may shut off the power by lifting the switch up or directly lift the kettle from the power base at any moment to stop boiling process.
  6. Lift the kettle to pour the water. Operate carefully when pouring the water from your kettle as boiling water may result in scalding. Do not open the lid while the water in the kettle is hot.
  7. The kettle will not re-boil until the switch is pressed again.
    The kettle may be stored on the power base when not in use. Ensure power supply is turned off when the kettle is not in use.

Safety Instructions

  • When using electrical kettles, always take basic safety precautions.
  • An automatic safety cut off is fitted to the kettle to protect against dry boiling. If the kettle is switched ON when there is insufficient water inside, the safety cut off will operate. In such cases, switch the kettle OFF and remove it from the power outlet. Allow the kettle to cool for 10 minutes, then refill with cold water before plugging it back into the power outlet.

Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Always disconnect the appliance from the power outlet and let it cool down completely before cleaning.
  • Never immerse the kettle, power cord, or power base in water, or allow moisture to come into contact with these parts.
  • Wipe the appearance of the body with a cloth moistened (not wet) with a soapy water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid the use of scouring pads, harsh detergents, solvents, polish abrasive, or aerosol cleaners as they may damage the surface of the product. Dry with a clean, soft cloth before storage or reconnecting to the power.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

When using electrical Kettles, the following basic safety precautions should always be taken.

  • Read all instructions before using.
  • Before connecting the kettle to the power supply, check that the voltage indicated on the appliance (underside the kettle & base) corresponds with the voltage in your home. If this is not the case, contact your dealer and stop using the kettle.
  • Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter or touch a hot surface.
  • Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
  • Do not operate the appliance without anything in it to avoid damaging the heat elements.
  • Ensure that the kettle is used on a firm and flat surface out of reach of children, this will prevent the kettle from overturning and avoid damage or injury.
  • To protect against a fire, electric shock or personal injury, do not immerse cord, electric plugs or kettle in water or other liquids.
  • While water is boiling, or just after the water has been boiled, avoid contacting with steam from the spout.
  • Always take care to pour boiling water slowly and carefully without tipping the kettle too fast.
  • Be careful of refilling when the kettle is hot.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  • Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  • Do not touch the hot surface. Use the handle or the button.
  • The attached base can not be used for other than intended use
  • Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot water.
  • The appliance is not a toy. Do not let the children play it.
  • The kettle is for household use only. Do not use outdoors.
  • The use of accessories, which are not recommended by the appliance manufacturer, may result in fire, electric shock or personal injury.
  • Unplug the kettle from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow the kettle to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
  • To disconnect, turn any control to “off,” then remove plug from wall outlet.
  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
  • Do not use the appliance for other than intended use.
  • The kettle can only use with the stand provided.
  • If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may spill out.
  • Always ensure the lid is closed and do not lift it while the water is boiling. Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during the brewing cycles.
  • Avoid spillage on the connector
  • This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
    • Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
    • Farm houses;
    • By clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
    • Bed and breakfast type environments.
  • The heating element surface is subject to residual heat after use.

USING YOUR KETTLE

If you are using the kettle for the first time, it is recommended that you clean your kettle before use by boiling a full kettle of water twice and then discarding the water.

  1. Place the kettle on the flat surface.

  2. To fill the kettle, open the lid by pressing down on the lid release button, once filled with the desired amount of water close the lid.
    Always fill the kettle between the minimum and maximum marks. Too little water will result in the kettle switching off before the water has boiled.
    NOTE: Do not fill the water over the maximum level, as water may spill out of the spout when boiling. Ensure that the lid is firmly in place before plugging the power outlet.

  3. Position the kettle on the power base.

  4. Connect the plug into a power outlet. Press down the switch and the indicator will light up. The kettle will start to boil the water. The kettle will switch off automatically once the water has boiled. If necessary, please wait 30 seconds before re-boiling the water. You may shut off the power by lifting switch up or directly lift the kettle from the power base at any moment to stop boiling process.

  5. Lift the kettle to pour the water.
    NOTE: Operate carefully when pouring the water from your kettle as boiling water may result in scald, besides, don’t open the lid while the water in the kettle is hot.

  6. The kettle will not re-boil until the switch is pressed again.
    The kettle may be stored on the power base when not in use.
    NOTE: Ensure power supply is turned off when kettle is not in use.

AUTOMATIC SAFETY CUT OFF

An automatic safety cut off is fitted to the kettle for your protection. This is to protect against dry boiling. It will operate if the kettle is switched ON when there is insufficient water inside the kettle. If this should occur, switch the kettle OFF and remove from the power outlet.
Allow the kettle to cool for 10 minutes then refill with cold water before plugging back in to the power outlet.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

Always disconnect the appliance from the power outlet and cool it down completely before cleaning.

  1. Never immerse the kettle, power cord or power base in water, or allow moisture to come in to contact with these parts.
  2. Wipe the appearance of body with a cloth moistened (not wet) with a soapy water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid the use of scouring pads, harsh detergents, solvents, polish abrasive or aerosol cleaners as they may damage the surface of the product. Dry with a clean, soft cloth before storage, or reconnecting to the power.
  3. Remember to clean the filter at intervals. For easier cleaning, detach the filter by pressing down the tab of filter inside the kettle and then replace it after cleaning.
  4. When not use or storage, the power cord may be wound under the base.
    CAUTION: Do not use chemical, steel, wooden or abrasive cleaners to clean the outside of the kettle to prevent the gloss loss.

DESCALING

Regularly removing deposits of lime scale from inside the kettle will prolong your kettle’s life, ensuring maximum performance and energy savings. The kettle can be descaled using commonly available descaling products. In this case, leave the product to act, then rinse thoroughly.
Then boil at least two full kettles of water, disposing of the boiling water safely, to remove any residue of the product before use.
Alternatively, you can use common household vinegar:

  1. Fill the kettle with 4 cups of cold tap water and bring to a boil.
  2. Add 2 cups of white vinegar.
  3. Leave stand for at least 1 hour or overnight to act.
  4. Empty the kettle.
  5. Fill the kettle with water and boil it. Empty the kettle, disposing of the water safely. Repeat this operation at least twice.
    After descaling, ensure that the electrical connections are completely dry before reusing the kettle.

    date of original purchase in the U.S. During this period, your exclusive remedy is repair or replacement of this product or any component found to be defective, at our option; however, you are responsible for all costs associated with returning the product to us and our returning a product or component under this warranty to you.

  • If the product or component is no longer available, we will replace with a similar one of equal or greater value. This warranty does not cover glass, filters, wear from normal use, use not in conformity with the printed directions, or damage to the product resulting from accident, alteration, abuse, or misuse.

  • This warranty extends only to the original consumer purchaser or gift recipient. Keep the original sales receipt, as proof of purchase is required to make a warranty claim. This warranty is void if the product is used for other than single-family household use or subjected to any voltage and waveform other than as specified on the rating label (e.g. 120V ~ 60 Hz).

  • We exclude all claims for special, incidental, and consequential damages caused by breach of express or implied warranty. All liability is limited to the amount of the purchase price.

  • Every implied warranty, including any statutory warranty or condition of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, is disclaimed except to the extent prohibited by law, in which case such warranty or condition is limited to the duration of this written warranty.
