Product Usage Instructions

1. Simple to install, plug and play.
2. Connect the DP HDMI KVM Switcher to yourN computer system using the provided USB3.0 cable, HDMI cable, and DP cable.
3. Connect your dual monitors to the HDMI-A and Standard DP Interfaces of the KVM Switcher.
4. Use the wired remote for convenient switching between monitors.
5. To select the output device for sound, follow these steps:
   • Go to Start menu.
   • Click on Settings.
   • Select Sound.
   • Under Output, choose the desired output device.

Technical Q &A

Q1. What kind of PC hosts are needed?
A1. Two PC hosts are required, both of which need to support dual Displayport (HDMI and DP) outputs. As shown in Figure 1.

Q2: What if one of the computer hosts with a DP interface and a MINI DP interface?
A2: For DP interface, directly connected to the KVM switch with DP cable. For MINI DP interface need to use a “MINI DP to DP Cable”to connect to the KVM switch and computer. As shown in Figure 2:

Q3: The laptop has two USB-C output, can I use it?
A3 : Yes, but you will need one separate USB-C to DP cable and one separate USB-C to HDMI Cable or USB-C docking station with DP and HDMI port.

Q4: Is it possible to use my laptop with only USB-C output (no DP)?
A4 : Not recommended; if you have to use it, you need to purchase a “MST docking” which can support dual Ports DP and HDMI output.

Tips：

1. If using the MST multi-screen docking station, the computer CPU requires support for 11th generation;Docking station resolution of 4k@30Hz or 1080p@60Hz when dual screen display
2. (MAC M1/M2 only supports one external screen, not multi-screen output);
3.  When the computer only plugs in one input, it can only support single screen display;
4. When outputting from Input A1/A2, it can only output from Output A; similarly when outputting from Input B1/B2, it can only output from Output B;
5. When inputting from the DP port, only the DP display can be output from the DP port, and when inputting from the HDMI port, only the HDMI display can be output from the HDMI port.

NOTE:

1. If you need 4K and above resolution, please use a 4K or above DP port monitor.
2. The computer needs to support output two (DP and HDMI) sources by connecting the KVM switch to INPUT A and INPUT B respectively.
3. Conneting two USB cables to two computer hosts respectively to supply enough power for the KVM switch, and make the USB HUB function work at the same time;
4. If you use a 2.4G wireless keyboard and mouse, please plug the 2.4G receiver into the USB port on the front of the KVM; if you use a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, you need a Bluetooth receiver connect to the KVM.
5. In order to get a good using experience, it is recommended to use two monitors with the same resolution.
6. When computers work with 4K@60Hz resolution, please use a power adapter to connect the 5V power port of the KVM switch.

2. If the audio port of monitor is a 3.5mm interface, an active audio system needs to be added;
