ANR7000 ANR Aviation Headset

ANR7000 ANR AVIATION HEADSET OPERATION
This Active Noise Reduction Pilot Headset is a headset that can isolate, offset and cancel background noise. In comparison with conventional passive headsets, it can, under noisy circumstances, provide a quieter more comfortable, and less fatiguing environment by reducing background noise. This makes it possible to improve telecommunication quality, improving safety, and flying enjoyment.

HEADSET OPERATION

  1. To place the microphone on the right or left of the head, simply rotate the boom overhead.
  2. With the head pad resting securely on the top of the head adjust the earcup slides so that the ear seals are centered over the ears.
  3. For best noise cancellation, the microphone should be positioned 0-6mm from the lips.
  4. Insert the microphone plug (PJ068) into the aircraft or intercom microphone jack and insert the phone plug (PJ055) into the aircraft or intercom phone jack.
  5. The volume controls are located on the battery box. Slide the volume controls to adjust the volume to a comfortable level.
  6. There is a slide switch on the battery box to select stereo or mono.
  7. The ANR7000 requires two 1.5v AA batteries to operate.
  8. There is an ON/OFF slide switch on the earcup opposite the microphone.
  9. There is a jack on one ear cup to accept the audio/cell phone cable provided. This can be used to listen to music from an iPod, MP3 player or similar audio source

CAUTIONS.

  1. Proper Fit
Proper fit is critical to the effectiveness of noise attenuation. A: Push the headband down until it rests comfortably on the top of your head. Move the earcups slightly up and down and from side to side until you feel maximum attenuation. B: The use of eyeglasses will reduce noise attenuation. Use thin temples on your glasses to reduce this effect.

  2. Use in Impulsive Noise Area
Active Noise Reduction is based on continuous noise and is not as effective when used with impulsive noise such as gunfire. For maximum protection, the use of ear plugs is recommended.

  3. Maintenance and Cleaning.
In order to keep your headset working properly, always comply with the following:
    A: Never alter your headset.
B: If you detect any defect seek an immediate replacement.

  4. Cleaning Instructions
A: Do not immerse in water.
B: Clean regularly with a sponge and mild soapy water
